I don’t know. Is this a sort of “Trade Mike Trout” article?
Here is an article about Noah Syndergaard being tapped to start game 3 of the World Series. All day long Monday, they figured the game would be postponed due to rain. It was.
Now the White Sox have gotten permission to interview Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza for their managerial vacancy. Matt Quatraro is now the manager of the Kansas City Royals. For their part, the Marlins extended their pitching coach, Mel Stottlemyre Jr.
MLBs antitrust exemption still stands, although four former minor league teams did plead a plausible case for antitrust violations if it wasn’t for the exemption.
Kodai Senga, late of the Fukuoke SoftBank Hawks, will test the waters of MLB free agency.
Would you exercise the team option on Justin Turner or go for the buy out?

MLBTR put out the hot news that the Angels aren’t currently fielding trade offers for Ohtani. Also in the news, Generalissimo Franco is still dead.
Ed Chung on Twitter: “Happy Halloween, @JPosnanski. I told my wife you were one of maybe two people in the country who would understand our costume theme for the year (her idea, btw!). Prove me right 🙂 https://t.co/PLChHMGcKd” / Twitter
that’s cool. Thanks for sharing.
Love the comment that the kid in the Astros jersey got the least amount of candy. Hope it is a joke.
Ha I thought it had something to do with the first 4 expansion teams
My profile picture says hi….
Can our future draft picks be traded in exchange for non-performing players like the Lakers may be doing to get rid of Westbrook? It seems like that’s not a thing in MLB.
I do not believe MLB draft picks can be traded. I think there is an exception made for competitive balance picks but not ordinary draft picks.
Regular draft picks can’t be traded. I figured they would after the slotting system came into play, but no.
Some competitive balance picks can get traded, but I don’t think we get those.
Rendon. Still on the team. Still living inside your head rent free huh.
My guess is that Turner is back in LA with about a $10 million in total take home.
Which Turner? Justin, Trea or Tina?
Tina, obviously.
TBS
Ya i think it will depend on what Turner wants. Does he want more playing time, or does he want to be on a contender
I could envision both, but if he’s back on the dodgers I’d imagine a modest 7 mil deal or so with some incentives for plate appearances, games, etc.
Exactly. Of course the Dodgers will have to eat the $2 million buyout fee to get to the $7 million contract so that’s $9 million in total.
All I know is that I don’t want to have to look at him all the time unless he gets back on the roids (or figures out why he shrank so much) or someone pays me 1M a year.
