If Taylor Ward can get .01 more WAR he’s a 4 WAR player this year.
If Rengifo played a full season he’d be a bit over 3 WAR.
Here’s hoping Adell drinks some of their Kool Aid this off season….
Props to the…player development guys?
Feels so wrong to say 😬
7 yes 7 in a row Shuffle!
I honor and respect this bot.
It also deserves a zebra…

I’m not changing while they keep winning
Nothin wrong with a sweet sweet bonus zebra.
7 in a row shuffle!
Fuck yeah! (Oct)
Ruh Roh. Next Wednesday may not be the end of Nevin more.

HAHHHHAAAHHHAAAHAHAHAHA!
I figure next year is already a wash with a sale looming.
Doesn’t really matter.
Oh yeah, totally. It’s just gonna be funny watching people realize that we’re not signing hardly ANYBODY this winter and yes, Nevin will probably be back. Even if the sale happens amazingly fast it’s not like NewOhNerz is gonna scrap the whole org in January and get all new guys most likely.
But hey, if that all happens, fun too.
Also watch. NEXT year we suddenly become a powerhouse full of healthy players and random nobodies with .800 OPSs as we win big and hate Arte for it….. because the gods thought it would be funny.
WE DID IT GUYS!
Trout will have another wasted season. Ohtani might be traded.
Barely any changes get made and the new guy gets all the credit. Would be funny.
Next off-season will hopefully be fun.
Mike still the team GOAT.
I think Nevin has been doing a decent job. After that rocky intro, he’s actually managed the pitching pretty well, which is something we have’t seen in at least decade. I like that he really actually seems to like the dudes in there and it looks pretty mutual from what we can see.
Except Nevin also has his favorite toys *cough*Loup*cough* and the FO needs to take them away.
You’re a sciency guy. Please, help me discover the manager who doesn’t have his “favorite toy” that kind of sucks…. other than the two or three managers who just plain don’t have many pen arms that suck.
Or, conversely, the manager who knows he has a better pen arm for various situations (not a “could be better” or “duurrrr ANYTHING would be better” arm) but continues to use his favorite toy instead.
Cause I have trouble thinking of them. Usually, even when a rookie is involved, if a pen guy comes around and is smoking guys he gets used. Just ask Jimmy “GoGurt” Herget.
I know every manager has his toys. Joe’s was C-Shit. Soth had his as well.
Even Tom Kotchman had a toy – it was called “The Rally Dildo”
So what you’re saying is this is all Trout’s fault?

As Rev pointed out to me yesterday, we got to see the Halos play October baseball
Liking our Soto very much. Impressed with O’Hoppe. Still finding myself thinking I have to go tell SWMBO Trout hit a dinger. That woman worshiped Trouty. I truly miss talking Angels with her.
I’m sorry, bro.
I can’t even imagine how painful it will be when I can’t call up my dad to talk baseball one day . Losing a partner would intensify that tenfold.
You honor her by talking about her. ❤️
Indeed. Jim, all I can tell you is that it does get better with time. Never fully heals, but does get better.
The party’s over
It’s time to call it a day
Winning in October!!!

Leaked concept art for DP3?
Can’t wait to watch Wolverine gut a unicorn.
I am stoked to see how that movie works out…. gonna be fun.
I have been mostly disappointed with most of the MCU projects since Endgame.
We’ll see how Disneyfied they make it. Hopes are still pretty high tho. RR and Jackman should play off each other well.
I will always be happy with a win over Texas, Mariners, Yankees and Red Sux. I just made a mahi mahi and shrimp ceviche, now my family is happy too!
You forgot the Assholes & the Doyers
And the Blue Jays, Giants, Cardinals, Rays, Guradindians, Tigers, Brewers, Reds, Mets, Braves, Padres, Rockies, D Bags…. hate all those guys.
And the Dutch.
The Dutch and the Canadians, I’ve never trusted the Canadians, I know they are up there quietly plotting something.
I like what I see from Soto & O’Hoppe, yes in the small sample size.
I was at the stadium Wednesday for his debut. He looks like the real deal.
(Jealous)
Our Soto is better than their Soto!

Soto, Livan, has been unreal since the call-up.
It’s great to see….
I am pretty shocked at how he’s taken to MLB pitching. sure, there’s no book on him yet, but still, I thought he’d have a harder time from go. But hey, cool beans.
That Juan Soto contract is going to put the Pujols contract to shame in the long run.
Not so sure. I would be more worried about the Tatis contract if I were the Padres.
Wondering if Padres will be able to wiggle out of some of that. Tatis is a punk.
Soto’s pretty damn good year in and year out…. I doubt he goes full Pujols. Pujols was a very special failure.
Plus Soto’s skill is in his insane ability to get on base. That special skillset will age very well.
I gotta say, if someone’s saying Soto’s gonna bust they just haven’t really watched that guy play. He’s honestly the closest guy I’ve seen to Trout out there these days.
I am curious though…. is PetCo on an Indian American Kinda Sorta First People burial ground too? A lot of good hitters seem to show up there and get all discombobulated. It’s weird.
Reminds me a lot of early Trout – takes a lot of walks, gets a lot of hits.
Feels like a buttercup comparison…
Soto is doing himself no favors this year.
How about Seager + Semien?
Time to trade all the Soto’s
Many predicted we would go on a winning streak at the end when we’re already out of it, only lowering our draft position….. doh!
Winners never play to lose-D’oh!!
But having a higher draft pick this year might make it easier to be winners in the future! 😀
Yeah, but obviously I don’t want the players to throw games.
It is really fun to see us winning consistently. Hopefully it translates into next year somehow.
Not you specifically…. but holy f*** this is a dumb argument we keep having here.
Players never throw games to help a team get draft position. Teams like the old Astros and Cubs that tanked for draft position fielded rosters full of guys trying to win who were totally devoid of talent.
We still have some fairly good players who will not be tanking. So we’ll wind up with some wins. It’s just the way it is. To be bottom five you have to REALLY have almost no above average MLB players left to field. Like early 70s Angels without Nolan Ryan bad.
Oops, perhaps created a misunderstanding through what I said.
I always have and now agree with you that no tanking has ever had to do with players, but has always been a scheme run by the GM/Owners/FO people, just as you said.
When I lamented the fall of our draft pick above, and wished it was higher, I realized that an obvious retort to what I was saying could be “Well what do you want, for our players to start blowing all our games or playing crappy just so our draft pick goes up”… which I unnecessarily answered in my second post, by saying of course I am not suggesting that.
Amen. In our case, the tank would have to be REALLY obvious, IE Trout and Ohtani and Ward and Rengifo sit for the last month…. which would then get the team in a shit ton of trouble.
As long as we have a top ten pick we can draft at least two impact players, at least.
Women make weak legs.
Goonies never say die.
There is no fear in this dojo.
It’s not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the dog in the dog in the fight.
Hams is beer refreshing.
Calling the team that missed the playoffs for the 8th straight year “winners” reminds me of the “Wall of Gaylord” full of 9th place ribbons and participation trophies.
Keep setting that bar high, Ace.
Yeah, this is depressing in a way… Not because of draft position, but why could we not beat Texas when it really mattered? Like back on May 16-18. If we could have swept that series instead of getting swept it really could have propelled us to great things…
But alas, trAdition.
We are in the ultimate zone of “who the hell knows what is going to happen between now and the draft”. By then The Angels may have a new owner, GM, scouts, etc. I like O’Hoppe and think he is the future starter ( next year), good pick up by Perry, checks off a big box before the draft.
I suspect the sale does not get through all the approvals until April or May of next year. If that’s the timeline, the primary changes would be at the Carpino / Kuhl levels until after the season. It would be foolish to blow up everything in the beginning of the season.
any way you slice it there will probably be a lot of “lame ducks” in 2023. Might be motivation for some, and paralyzing for others. I guess that’s natures way of culling the herd.
Ohhhhh…. I would actually be a little happy even if all that happens is Carpino/Kuhl take a walk. Pointless malicious glee.
Angels ending this season on a winning streak to make people optimistic is just so on brand
League wide conspiracy?
Legit shocked when I heard it is a 7 game-winning streak. Imagine if that record-losing streak never happened…
Would have been nice to head into the playoffs on a winning streak!
If we had even just gone .500 during the losing streak, we’d be at 80-79 right now.
and still out of the playoffs 😕
F***in Andrew.
I wonder which Central American hell hole Andrew’s gonna go run after he sells the Angels.
Chino?
Sure, if the losing streak did not happen then – it would be happening now.
Its just as Nostradamus foresaw….
Yeah. But I won’t be fooled. I refuse to enjoy baseball or even think about ways we can win until we have won at LEAST an AL pennant. Then I’ll believe we can win. I am a smart tough man who got PTSD from watching baseball and I hurt which makes me mad then sad then mad. I demand champ. Yankees fans are so lame.
Angels Win!
