Angels Clobber Jays without hitting coach

As the pathetic Angels cross the border into Canada, they were down a few players and a hitting coach.

Turns out the hitting coach was jealous, and holding the Angels back! Angels may not be all powerful, but they should be, and someday they will be. They will have the most powerful lineup ever!

We saw a small taste of that power. AAAA guys, without being held back, smashed the Blue Jays as if they were Dave Stieb in the 9th inning of a no hitter.

Oh, and Reid Detmers was there too. He went 5 and a third shutout innings, giving up just 4 hits, striking out 5 and walking 3. But enough about him.

Squid hit a home run! Fletcher was 2 feet away from a Grand Slam! Aguilar debuted and walked twice! Adell had multiple hits including TWO MASSIVE home runs! What is this madness?!

I will tell you what it is, it is what life would be like without a hitting coach. Are you sold yet?

Highlighted Recap

Things immediately felt off in the bottom of the first inning, when the Angels win a review challenge.

That’s rare…

But things really got all Scary Door when the Angels won their second challenge when Jo Adell was actually safe in the top of the 2nd.

Is that Legal?

It was the weirdness before the explosion of offense starting with a Fletcher double to score 2.

FLETCH!

And an Ohtani Triple…

Dude is fast

And a Rengifo single!

5-0 Angels!

A 5 run inning?! This is madness.

Oh and then Squid hgit a 2 run bomb in the 3rd, because, why not?

7-0 Angels

This was all without a hitting coach, by the way.

And Adell added on for fun.

8-0 Angels!

Mike Trout was feeling left out, so he hit a 2 run shot in the 8th.

10-0 Angels!

Trout now has the most career Runs in Angels history.

It was such a blowout now that the Blue Jays used a position player to pitch. It did not go well, for the Blue Jays that is. Adell hit his second Home Run of the night.

12-0 Angels!

Angels win 12-0, their 15th shutout win of the year!

Don’t want to brag or anything since I’m off by a gazillion runs, but I predicted all of this 😂

Maybe the Angels will score a gazillion runs without their hitting coach

Hitting coach Jeremy Reed is the only coach who isn’t here. #Angels

Here’s a quote from Nevin, I guess he’s referring to Rengifo or Velasquez as competition for best.

“We’ve had a lot of great hitters in this franchise, and, obviously, Mike’s going to go down as one of the best,” interim manager Phil Nevin said. “Special player and pretty special to be able to manage him too.”

Is this the future: players not named Trout or Ohtani lead our beloved team on to dominating victories?

Why would the Angels not hitting their coach be in the tagline?

Because there’s no longer an extradition agreement with Canada?

Well, Reed has been the CtPG punching bag lately ….

Not really.

Over the last two months as far as I can tell I have been the only person to emphatically state that we need to get rid of Reed.

Yep, they are going to go on a hot streak so they miss the playoffs and pick 14th to 18th in the first round. Mediocre trAdition.

Great game to be at! Even more excited for tomorrow. Talking with my uncles, this was the first away game since 2016 that we’ve attended where the Angels won. Yikes!

Very impressed with Blue Jay fans for the most part.

Yah, Blue Jays fans are secretly really good, enthusiastic too. I’ve always wanted to see Toronto. I know a lot of folks that went there and they all liked it a lot.
