The Seattle series really took A LOT out of the Angels plus RenDone is out so the Angels have their excuse already baked in the cake which Trent Rush will mention on his post-game comedy show…
Canceled DIRECTV finally so no tee vee games for a while, couldn’t be bothered to even fire up the app to listen.
Indifferent fans should worry Arte, our numbers are growing. I think. Can’t be bothered to check.

The Angels are a never-ending conundrum. Took 4 out of 5 in Seattle and then fall on their faces at home against a last place with the fewest wins in the majors…
Bad move by Nevin leaving Thor in and then not walking Salvi . Make them pay for the steal by taking the bat out of their best players hands. We pitched to Pete Alonso a few weeks back with a base open late as well. Just basic managerial maneuvers getting missed. Oh well this offense probably wouldn’t have mustered another run for proper management to matter anyway.
Don’t apologize for your take — you are absolutely right about Nevin!
20 minutes ago I was thinking the same thing! Most of the blame for this loss goes on him. He just has no instinct for the subtleties of the game – NONE.
Clearly Thor was not at his best tonight; anyone could see it. He was lucky to be tied 2-2 going to the 7th, he did a tightrope walk in prior inning.
Bullpen should have been ready for 7th and 8th inning. This was anyone’s game at 2-2 and Nevin gave it away with his stupidity.
I don’t think Thor lasts the season. Velocity not where it needs to be. Every single or walk is effectively a double. He’s shown some flashes, but no one is afraid of him, and it’s only going to get tougher for him as the scouting reports get around. In thinking DFA by late August, early September.
Freaking trash cans. That bottom of the lineup is and will always be the death of this team. Thor should’ve been done after 6 with a 5-2 lead with this trash Pubic pitching. So gross how they ALWAYS find a way to disappoint.
This team isn’t getting a sniff of the post season. If you have troubles beating these teams you’re supposed to dominate, and let pitchers with sky high ERA’s shut you down, you don’t deserve to be in the post season, period!!
So to me that is poor pitch selection. Perez is a fastball hitter. Bats less than .100!on curveballs and sliders. So throwing fastballs doesn’t make much sense. Oh well

Not too sure about taking anything out, Thor was sitting the last 5 games. We already know the line-up is thin.
Swap Marsh with Adell for a bit
Yikes! Marsh is freaking lost
Like I said though that first call was just terrible. He didn’t know what to do after that.
ok, ok.. this is where we see what Marsh is really made of.
That 1st call wasn’t fair.

One thing I really hate is how the other teams get an insta-win once they get past our 1-2-3 hitters from the 7th on.
And Perry does absolutely nothing to improve it. Nothing. What other options does he have you ask? Anybody with a pulse is a better option!!!!!!!
I agree something has to happen with some infield hitting other than Walsh ASAP.
Moreno just refuses to find a decent GM.
Trout blew his wad in Seattle.
I would like to suggest the stadium crew paint the batter’s eye black ASAP.
Right? Arte needs to hire smart people like us who pay attention rather than the slackers they got now, whoever they are.
Lol straight up
I remember the orioles and the pirates….. coming in here and beating up on us. Those were bad teams.
What year?
Maybe kc can grab a playoff spot.

Thor pitched well tonight, after the first inning.
Against the Royals.
Who are winning which makes us look worse.
Exactly. “Pitching well” against a dogshit team would look better than five runs allowed in seven plus innings.
They said his velocity has improved, so I’m not sure I agree with you there.
DFA might be too strong but agree, not intimidating at all. The good teams will pound him. Unless he takes a buzz cut, he’s one and done.
At worst he gets traded in July, but I believe PTP will hold on to him if we improve.
He should have been pulled at 2-2. He gave a gutty performance without his best stuff.
Blame Nevin, not Thor.

That’s pretty much been the story with this team all season. We make guys with ERA’s north of 5 look like Cy Young candidates.

Glad we have Kurt back there.
Trash
I am out. This team finds ways to lose.
Ballgame.
I understand bringing Thor out for the 8th.
But it’s over.
Ballgame.
Bubic in line for the win coming in with a sparkling ERA of over 8
