Again, it’s Joe playing down to the competition. He’s just happy fighting for a wild card spot.

Whitefield, Romine, Mayfield, Rengifo, Wade…. these guys are backups. They shouldn’t be out there at the same time.

After the game you talk about the last time we sweep the f*cking A’s, not during game. There are things that you just don’t mention, you look stupid when you don’t have to. (Terry Smith) For those that think Patrick is to hyper, listen to the radio, but bring a pillow.

Say what you may but, Joe Maddon has pulled out bullcrap lineups twice and we lose. When your closer is not on you pull him no matter how much you pay him. Trout had to rest? Really. Ward could not have pinch hit? This is the first loss that I am peeved big time. I am sick and tired of Zenhead. I listened to the radio and just had a bad feeling about that bottom of the 9th.

Hopefully this result will open his eyes.

Trout didn’t need to rest. There is no excuse for Joe not putting him in the lineup for the first game. Dude had Wednesday and Thursday off, he’s had plenty of rest this week as it is.

Why bring Trout up at all?

Was he leading the team to a win while playing the game from the gate. Should of been like Shohei and told Joe I want in. Lead by example, so what if his numbers are great playing in 85% of the games, he needs to be in the lineup. You want the Playoffs, you play and get us there when you are a Super Star. He is not 37 years old. He is young. Oh I know the fallout you and others will shell out.

In the Championship Years of the Lakers, did Kareem or Magic other than injured seasons that a lot of time out? On the Dodgers in the years between ’74 to ’81 have Garvey, Lopes, Cey, Russell that a lot of time off? This crap of rest now be stronger in September save anybody? Prove it to me. You still have to get up in the morning and put your big boy pants on, go to the park, do straining of stretching, jogging, batting practice, all the pre game stuff and then sit on the bench getting up and down, going through the mental part of the game which is exhausting just the same.

This is the season for Trout to step up and take us to the Playoffs, period. If by August we are out of it, then rest.

Nope, Maddon’s philosophy is to rest him half the season so he’s ready to go in October. Trouble is, you gotta make it to October first. Don’t think Joe thought about that.

He’s well rested though, he’s our leader and sets the example of toughness. Fired up, you bet, I hate to lose on stupid.

Terry Smith w/the kiss of death stating that none of the walks had hurt the team today.

Glad I didn’t waste much time on the game.

I’m wondering how many times the Astros ran a bunch of scrubs out there against Detroit etc. I’m guessing they didn’t.

yea when the Angels have to play a one game playoff to get into the playoffs it will likely be because of all the f’ing off days our guys got. Trout has now gotten 2 off days in less than a week? Is he hurt?

Maddon showed no respect for the A’s. Figured he could run half a lineup out there and cake walk to a win. These are the guys you have to sweep!!
