Even the last minute starters are pitching well for the Halos. Is that even legal?
The biggest hit of the night came from who else but the GOAT
Enjoy yet another win.

Wow….!
I was not expecting that.
5 shutout innings from Diaz.
Loved that strikeout of Soto with runners on base. That was awesome…!
Diaz’s change and slider must make his 90 mph 4 seamer seem like a rocket.
This guy can pitch. Now just a thrower.
Reminds me a little of Rick Honeycutt or Tom Glavine.
I hope he gets another start.
Watching the replay highlights of the Angels game had me shook… Bengie Gil, Phil Nevin, and Gary Discarcina as base coaches was just wild to see and just made me feel so damn old.
What I like about baseball is that players retire and then becomes coaches/managers so we get to “stay in touch” with them for decades. I am thinking that Benji Gil might have the 2002 magic in him.
The team is 18-10 with only Trout (1.124) and Ward (1.198) with good (great) OPS numbers. Ohtani (.682), Rendon (.706), and Walsh (.709) are well below their career OPS numbers. If we can get the other big hitters hitting consistently…Then again, who expected the starting pitching that we have been getting and the bullpen looks solid with Ortega, Tepara, Loup, and Iggy (and Bradley once he returns). This team has depth. I like Duffy and Wade and their ability to play wherever. I predicted 90 wins before the season started and I will stick with that after 28 games (and hopefully I am undershooting the win total).
It’s the Nats, but Diaz was decent and hopefully he can have another chance to prove himself.
Tepera, Loup, Iggy all superb, but Ortega is also doing a great job as a multi-inning guy.
Very good development so far.
Looks like you guys had a much better time than I had at Staples Center — I mean Crypto.com Arena.
Seriously. It was that bad. Here is the entire transcript of Mclellan’s post-game press conference.
“We can do this really quick tonight. I can [summarize] it all up for you, we can all go home,” he said. “We weren’t any good. We’re really disappointed, we got trapped playing their game.
“You could ask me about individuals, I’ll give you the same answer for all of them: They weren’t any good. And we have to regroup [Saturday].”
Ung. Still worst best team evah. Three walks? Taylor Ward needs to learn walks are for losers. Our pitcher gave up too many walks and then it turns out he can’t even spell Jonathan right. Trout waste. Untrustworthy pitching. Signed Thor instead of twenty five Framber Valdez’s. Hell, this team doesn’t even have Tommy Edman on it. Oligarch. POBO. Pete Alonso. Whisky Agogo.
It’s the Nats. We’re supposed to beat them. Ok to be optimistic the next few weeks cause the schedule looks pretty good.
We should be optimistic (and gritch is a performance artist these days), but I do think the Rays will be a tough series – and road trips in Oakland are never smooth sailing. We have to keep playing as we are.
Yep. And then at the end of May going into June we play the Blue Jays, Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox, Mets and Dodgers all consecutively. Those are some really good offenses, the best in baseball actually.
So, over that stretch we will find out how good our pitching really is and how good we are…

The Trout double would have been a homer with a normal baseball in play but Mike smashed the Manfred ball to hard and too far anyway.
Like a scene from the Natural, rain shower commences after the walk off. Video shots of the players,, leaping for joy. Raw footage, even heard a f*ck yeah at the very end. THAT…was a great clip.
That’s a fun team down there. Go Trash Panda’s!
Lets all hope he’ll be up in Anaheim soon Romaineing the Outfield as a backup
Ha ha. Have you ever heard this song? I wanted to post the “Professor Longhair” version but could not find it on You Tube. “Dr. John’s” version is not bad either ….
Diaz got that fire in him

“I like it. And I win.”
I think ol’Jonboy has driven some enemies before him and is hearing the lamentations of some women tonight.
