I have missed the game threads during spring training. I am hoping that Adell and Marsh get their chance to both start this year. Also rooting for Stefanic as an underdog (from my home state of Idaho) and also rooting for Jose Rojas.
The new rule stipulates that if the starting pitcher is also hitting in the lineup, then that player remains as the DH even if he is pulled from the start. Thus, if Ohtani, say, pitched five innings, he would still hit through the entire game. This rule is for the life of the new CBA, not just for 2022 and the hope is to promote more two-way players.
Then Joe has no reason for Shohei to shag fly balls and hit his knee on a sprinkler head causing a lengthy stint on the DL that would zap his power for the remainder of his Angel career?
It does seem like a pretty harsh comment even if the guy is horrible. I mean, fine if he made that comment about the opponent, but our guy will see that.
slightly off the actual question but…when I was a kid I loved the Skankee team. Red Barber, Mel Allen. Hated the Skanks, loved the announcers. Today, no clue who’s any good.
Not a fan of Orsillo. Could not stand him when he called games for the Chowd’s, especially when he called the ALDS in 2009 when the Angels finally beat them.
I found him to be a total homer during that entire series.

Marsh is a keeper. Fletch and Marsh are fast but Shohei maybe faster.
