Growing up I used to open the newspaper, always key in on the pitching match-up to entice my interest or enthusiasm for the upcoming game. “Whose pitching tonight” was commonly asked and discussed question in the household. Or even when I began to bet on sports, standing in line to make a bet or going to the game any buy a ticket. Who is pitching. I would not buy a ticket to see 9 pitchers in 9 innings. Or plopping bucks to see Scherzer throw only to get pulled in the 4th, while leaving with a lead.
