LA Angels Tuesday News Crash- Waiver-Go-Round

The Waiver-Go-Round is quite active as we watch the virtual winter meetings. It’s other teams who are doing the dumpster diving this year. Not only the Mariners, but the Blue Jays are doing it.  The Nationals are doing it as well.  The Orioles also joined in to the Waiver-Go-Round.

As you probably know, the Angels traded Noέ Ramirez and a player to be named later to the Reds for closer Raisel Iglesias plus cash.  Here is what his pitches look like.

Adam Wainright won this year’s Roberto Clemente Award.  Tomoyuki Sugano has finally been posted by the Yomiuri Giants.  The deadline to complete terms of an agreement is January 7, 2021. Seven time All Star Dick Allen passed away at the age of 78.  At least, as of this moment, there will be no designated hitter in the National League in 2021.

Just saw the newest Trade Rumors article about how we have interest in Schwarber, sure hope that’s fake. Never been a fan of him.

Why would the Angels have any interest in Schwarber? he hit less than .190 last season. The Angels are overflowing with outfielders that could hit better with a better OBP, even Ward

I can take last year’s numbers with a grain of salt across the board. Even with them Kyle’s wRC+ and OPS+ are 113 and 115 respectively.

His defense, however, has been bad in every single year. Having Upton in left and Schwarber in right seems like a nightmare for our pitchers. I’d rather run Ward out there.

Exactly my point, signing him would be like trading for Chris Davis, probably an over pay for a DH that we don’t have available.

Really nice return for Lynn. Texas did well getting Dunning and a throw in.

At his peak Allen was better than several HOF’ers. He deserves to be in. Hopefully the veterans committee fixes that.

Concur with this. I am also happy that we wont have to watch him pitch. Pretty damn ugly bush he has on his face.

Wisler signed up with the Giants for a mere $1.15M. Nice value.

In my newest book, one of the main characters is a freed slave named Richard Allen, and the first thing he does once he is given his freedom is leave New York and head for Philadelphia where there is an anti-slavery rebellion going on. Upon his arrival, Allen announces that he came because he heard that Philadelphia was a friend of the Black man, a little ironic baseball Easter egg I put in there that no one has picked up on.

We were not going to get Lance Lynn as he played in our division and is better than good. On another front the Pittsburgh Steelers are not going to tie history with a undefeated season as the Team in Washington beat them last night. Good Morning folks, well in 16 nights the rounds get made, wonder what is in Santa Sleigh for our team?

Complete lack of a running game will doom my Steelers. Needed an O mine retool for 2-3 years
