In his search for a new General Manager, Arte Moreno is reportedly looking for an executive with experience leading a scouting or player development department. Rhett Bollinger thinks the Angels will seek to add two starters this off season and will make a serious run at Trevor Bauer and/or Marcus Stroman. He also mentioned Jahmai Jones as someone who could step into the role of everyday second baseman next year. Meanwhile, there is some good news about a number of the prospects who were working out at the alternate facility. Mike Trout has a message for the fans. So does Joe Maddon. Max Stassi tweeted that his surgery went well and he hopes to get ready for opening day.

MLB partnered with Star Sports India to broadcast the World Series live in India. The MLB Players Association will begin giving an annual award named after the late Curt Flood. It’s for former players who exhibited selfless devotion to the Players Association and advancement of player’s rights. Trevor Bauer’s agent clarifies that he will consider all kind of deals rather than merely one year deals. Didi Gregorius might not be a wise choice to replace Andrelton Simmons. He appears to be in decline.

Dateline Anaheim California: The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have put a rush on to uncovering their next General Manager by Thanksgiving. No Christmas presents under the tree or New Year’s surprises or showing any love for Valentines Day no sir, the rush is on making the 49’ers Gold Rush look exceptionally long in comparison, oh it actually was I guess, so never mind that. They are mentioning through the press everyone associated or has been associated with Baseball from every team in MLB and then some. Old and Young no one is not being checked out. So the timeline has been set and surely they will have their man by Thanksgiving.
So the same crew that found Reagins and Diporto and Billy Eppler is going to find a live body to run part of the things that a real GM is in charge of is comforting to me. And here I was worried that they wouldn’t find their man until Mother’s Day because in reality who would want the job working for Nincompoops that think they know what is best to do next. “Get me Wells, sign Pujols, sign Hamilton, What! the Yankees signed Cole! Well then sign the next player on the list so we can show that we know what we are doing”. Followed by “Do not go over my budget and don’t sign any pitchers, that Wilson Guy we only got 2 out of the 3 years of work from him. Hamilton wasn’t a pitcher”.
