To be honest, what Philly did to the Ducks is hysterical. The Ducks fleeced them in the Gauthier trade.
Of course, the offer sheet is going to drive up salaries across the sport, but it’s still funny.

Hopefully not, but with the cap going up, it’s going to be ridiculous. Honestly, Bowen Byram getting $12.5M set an extraordinarily bad precedent (terrible trade to begin with).
Verbeek screwed himself by waiting. That’s how these things happen. As much as I dislike Ken Holland, I was glad that he signed Clarke to a reasonable contract before 7/1.
