I went to UCI and it’s crazy the Angels play so close and missed on Pallante in 2019 and Church a few years back. Not great players but ones that fill out a roster without having to play guys literally if the Angels dropped them no one would pick up.

Except I think it was more about the fact the organization was doing a terrible job of coaching before him and now they are continuing on that path again.
I live in south county, and the HS baseball coaches here are very fundamentally sound and would never tolerate the stuff we’re seeing. I don’t get it.

yea I forget who it was, but we had a guy on third representing the go ahead run late in a game. Groundball on the IF not quite at the infielder but the runner had absolutely no secondary lead and was closer to 3rd than the 3rd basemen. He had no momentum going towards home as the ball was crossing the plate. That’s just basic baseball that when you see the Angels not doing it you go wtf is happening here.

I mean maybe Neto was calling him off there? But man 3B is literally the easiest position to play in terms of who gets what balls. If you are playing 3rd, every ground ball is your ball.

I know they said Suzuki was safe for this year when they fired Perry, but certainly things can change if they just keep losing everyday right? This team looks like they are playing a scrimmage, they don’t care, they don’t play sound baseball.
