Sorry, should have been more specific; he only pitched essentially two years as a Yankee as a pitcher in his prime… Just a few games in 1920 and 1921. And he was horrible. That is probably why he decided to give up pitching and focus on hitting instead.
Near the very end of his career he did pitch like two more games, one bad and one horrible.

As mentioned, Ruth pitched longer than that. Really it was 4+ seasons as he only pitched 133 innings in his 5th full season. His World Series record was 3-0 with a 0.87 ERA over 31 innings. If memory serves me right he held the record for consecutive shutout innings in the World Series.
Of course my remark was just my funny way of teasing Ohtani.

So sick of these announcers fawning over Shohei. This isn’t a Dodgers home broadcast.
Someone should remind them Blue Jays are leading 2-1, and Bieber could go 2 more innings, as struggling Dodgers hitters like Betts keep hitting the 1st pitch while making outs.
If you’re struggling, at least take a couple of pitches to raise the pitch count

Man do I miss old school organ music at a game. Arte getting rid of that was such a disappointment. How much can an organist cost?!
Many teams abandoned them around 2005 but have subsequently brought them back. Nothing says a ballgame more to me than the live organ music.

While hockey games used to have them (maybe still do?) I agree that the live organ has a distinct “baseball” feel. The Dodgers used to have Helen Dell who was great… great sense of humor in her song selections…
