his best years of 0.264BA, 16-17 HRs, 51-52 RBIs do not compensate for his routinely making defensive and base running mistakes.
Then, there are the other sub-par years while mistakes are always there
Spot on. His baseball skills are above average, but his baseball IQ is below average. Should have moved on years ago. He’s a good bench piece not worth the big pay raise. I’ll enjoy him while the good lasts
Just for comparison, the Tigers have 8 hitters in their line up with BAs as good as our top 2 and much better than the rest. We’re just at a disadvantage right now.
The Angels will spend approximately $205M on baseball player salaries in 2025. This season the MLB average team payroll for 2025 is $172M.
If the Rays ($87M) or Kansas City ($135M) had a payroll of $205M, they’d dominate.
The payroll has never been the problem. The problem continues to be the level of talent and production the Angels get for the payroll dollars available.

Nah!
Whatever relievers would’ve replaced Kochanowicz would’ve given up runs to compensate for taking Kochanowicz out an inning earlier.
It’s the Angels way
Hendricks is free agent for 2026. If he agrees to another $2.5M contract, then yes.
Hendricks could pitch so poorly for rest of season raising his ERA to 9.00 and he’ll still pitch for Angels so long as he agrees to low salary
Moore continues to be a worthless piece of crap. Get him off this team. Teodosio is going to kill someone in the outfield. The yutes scare me.
Good for Cmo
Good for the other Wash
Moore needs to grow up. He has no right to gripe about anything. Pure classless.
what tf was that ump
Unbelievable. It’s the deaf crowd in the outfield.
If Fulmer can pitch this many innings, why not start him?
Right. We know he can go 5 and probably, hopefully 6
Because management and coaches do not have talent to make in-season adjustments.
That or use a reliever to pitch the first inning. They did it a few times a fes years ago.
Our OFs are just idiots
It’s unreal. Either that or they need hearing tests.
We lack fundamentals in all areas.
Even in figuring out how to properly communicate when going for fly balls
You can say that again
Rengifo is a good baseball player. The hate is dumb
He is, but he is not worth FA money on a club like ours.

There have to be better utility/3B players to be had in FA in the offseason.
He averaged 2.1 WAR/season from 2022-24.

Could’ve had Andy Pages for him but owner vetoed the trade.
March- .143/.250/.143
May – .187/.235/..213
July – ..283/.317/.354
August – .350/.435/.600
Rengifo has been a hot or cold player at the plate. The first half was ugly.
I do think that the teams that should have traded for him and didn’t were dumb.
What? So, he can hit the ball occasionally. He is the worst defensive player on the team. Stop hitting the crackpipe.
Woohoo!!
Rengifo 2-run HR!!
RENGIFO 2-RUN HOMER

Trout 0-2, 2 walks.
7- game hitting streak over (barring huge rally).
Rooting for 400th HR against Dodgers!!
Down the middle? Trout won’t swing. Weird.
Fulmer should start in place of Kochanowicz next time.
Silent C needs to quietly fade into the bowels of the Angels farm system. His best option at the major league level is a low-leverage reliever.
When you’re struggling (Riley Greene 1-21 entering series), there’s no better cure than facing Angels pitching.
In the series, he 4-9, 1 HR, 3 RBIs
The matty v curse continues
I’m looking on Mountain time now, as I head home.
So…. Koch and Dana are my two biggest disappointments this season. Both get routinely smacked around. I can’t see either being rotation pieces
If Kochanowicz and Dana agree to low salaries, they’ll be pitching for Angels.

Which reminds me, Trout is on a pace to drive in 75 so we’re getting something for his salary unlike you know who
Shhhh.
We don’t mention the player who doesn’t believe baseball is a priority.
75 wasted on RenDone and Trout.
So maybe if we has taken K out of the game when it was abundantly clear he wasn’t fooling anyone, then we might possibly have been in this game?
Nah!

Hey, we’re only a Trout grand slam from tying the game!!
Banner work by Silent-Crap yet again.
Has Hendricks done enough to be our 5th starter next year? He’s actually been good the past month.
