The Angels look to avoid the sweep vs Texas as Jack Kochanowicz took the mound. He went 4 and 2/3 innings giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, striking out 1 and walking 1. That is not good.
Not to fear, the Angels are going up against a Rookie looking for his first MLB win… oh no. Yeah, this one did not turn out so well. Again. I really hate Texas.
Highlighted Recap
The Angels scored first this time! In the 1st inning as well!
Rangers scored 1 in the 1st.
Then 2 in the 2nd.
And another in the 3rd.
Things looked grim. A Sweep was immanent. But then a break, bases loaded with Rengifo up.
Now a 1 run game, Jack had to keep it close so that this team can come back and avoid the sweep. And for that to happen, your defense has to step up.
Too bad Seager hit a home run in the 7th
Angels lose, get swept, and have lost 8 straight to Texas.
Upcoming
Star Wars Weekend! Yay… against the Giants. Who look like a WS contender. Joy…
So….through 18 games or 1/9th of the season, Trout is on pace to produce 1 WAR. He is hitting. .190. And this is at his healthiest. Not sure whether this is a blip or an aging superstar situation. But whatever it is it ain’t pretty.
At least Taylor Ward was able to score a goal vs Calgary tonight. 🔥 🏒
Not to be a dead horse, but 15 out of 18 games on the road to start the season is a fucked up thing to do.
Well it’s not like the road games were mostly against good teams. I mean the white Sox are 4-11, the Rays 8-11 and the Cards 9-10. So not sure if you can make too much out of those wins.
“Is this team for real?”
Was a question that was asked before the Houston series.
Looks like we are just Pretenders and need to get back on the Chain Gang.

Insert Major League groundscrew “they’re still shitty” image below.
Well, the team that looked unprepared and feckless, heads home to face the Giants. I keep wondering why Washington is pulling the starters after 79 or so pitches? Is he trying to save them for later in the season?
Where’s the little poop man with the poop smear?
Contraction.
Pathetic
(Heavy sigh)
Go Halos!!
I’ll throw out the obligatory, “if you told us we would be 9-9 at this point, we all would’ve been happy”.
A little home cooking sprinkled with Zach Neto should help.
This team fails my eyeball test. Hoping you’re right.
I’m hoping more so than predicting.
I share your sorrow re: MNT
Accept* (Gritcho) when you start 7-3, 9-9 is not happy
Hard to watch. Ugly brand of baseball from a team that deserved to lose all three games.
Especially hard to watch this franchise’s greatest player ever diminishing before our eyes.
The good news is that no players were injured tonight…..
Physically.
