The Rocket City Trash Pandas can clinch their first Southern League championship with a win against the Biloxi Shuckers tonight. Game starts at 4:35pm Pacific.

It’s a free game of the day on MiLB.TV: Watch here. (Also streaming on Bally Sports Live.)

On the mound, the Angels’ top pitching prospect (and former Gaucho) Tyler Bremner faces the Brewers’ best AA prospect arm (and #8 overall in their excellent system), Bishop Letson. Four of their top six prospects are also in the lineup tonight.

Quite a challenge, but the Pandas have momentum! Tune in and chat ’em up.

The Shuckers looking like the collection of blue chip Brewers prospects that they are. The Pandas looking like a raccoon party balloon that someone poked with a thumbtack.

This just isn’t the Pandas’ game. Pulled Bremner early and outside of Mahlstedt the pen just can’t locate tonight.

Funny that the pregame comments touted the Pandas pen over the Shuckers. Letson has kept their pen out of the equation

The Pandas pen was quite good in the regular season. Pinazzi, who just self-immolated, went 31 straight games without a run earlier this season. Once the postseason started, he hasn’t been been able to locate anything.

That’s what Juan Flores is for, gentlemen.

It shows he has thrown out 42% of base runners in his minor league career and only 20 years old.

More than one scout has dropped a 70 on his defense. But the game calling is elite as well.

Minor leaguer umpire. Two balls are well within the strike zone.

Chris Cortez is Perry Minasian in a nutshell. Reliever with crap control he takes in the second round on the premise he can turn him into a starter.

Two years later, he’s barely a reliever. BB/9 of 9.1 across two levels this year.

When Cortez came in, I had a bad feeling. Good velo, bad location. He gives up a lot of leads.

He’s the difference in this game, and not in a good way.

Pulling him after 5 and 80 pitches is weak

They’ve done it all season. Pulled Snead at 80 as well.

Rocket City needs to sub in Jake Thompson. He’s been their lucky charm.

Best I’ve seen him this season. Saw a game earlier this season where Rocket City tagged him for eight.

Other than Bremner’s unexpected velo drop, I’ve been impressed. I think he’s flashed a curve, slider, and cutter, which all have looked good

He’s definitely an MLB pitcher. The velo decrease is a bit concerning, though it is a hot humid night with intermittent rain, so maybe he’s just a little taxed.

I like Munroe as our 3b of the future. That was a much better inning for Bremner

That was Bremner’s best inning.

Letson making the Pandas look unusually punchless.

Looks like it’s going to be a five-and-dive outing for Bremner.

He looks absolutely terrible on that pitch. Someone needs to sit him down with video, because he’s making the same mistake repeatedly.

He needs to either learn how to hit those or lay off them
