Are you serious? Weird? a 7 year old could explain to him why he plays too deep based on his range being beyond the CF fence. Players shouldn’t get to the CF fence and wait 5 seconds to see it sail over the fence.

What does meaningless have to do with anything? you are either trying to win or you aren’t. Trout is making it clear he’s either not trying or completely dense. The announcers have ALL season pointed out how deep he plays and are essentially tip toeing around how stupid it is. Yet he is playing nearly on the warning track game after game after game. A ball that was in the air forever falls in front of him because of it. Yea F Trout. Put yourself in a position to win. He’s putting himself half way between the mound and the pond.

it is and I’ll tell you why. He should be able to look at his defensive metrics and see that they are shit. And wonder hmmmm…. what is wrong? I’m still fast, why are my number so bad? But he isn’t doing that apparently because the first thing anyone would tell him is to play shallow. P-Bo played shallow, Edmonds played shallow. Anyone that knows anything heck even our announces could tell him to play shallower. But what is he doing? Well apparently building golf courses, promoting prime time golf. Is he really trying to improve his game? It’s such as easy fix I doubt he is.
