Reid Detmers is the most miserable active Angel. While Mike Trout chose to stay here, even telling the new gm he wants to be a 1 team player, Detmers was almost traded to the Cubs, to a team in a divison race, but that was dashed. The trade being a fake online. Emotions manipulatived.
In addition, he continues to be amazing, yet gets no run support. Pitching wins are not what they used to be, obviously, but they still care some about it, especially when he still hasn’t won at home this season. It is just endless bad luck and suffering.
Today, he went 8 innings giving up no runs on 2 hits striking out 11 and walking none. No run support. Again. Because life is pain. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something.
So today I am selling you hope. Not for playoffs. But for any joy at all. Because Detmers won today!
