At last, the home stand comes to an end.
AND THATS A WRAP. A glorious 8th inning whiffathon. Now on to Detroit and at least another 35 k’s. Happy birthday Mr. Trout tomorrow.
90 K lead over Boston.
Tip cap.
At the present strikeout rate, the Halos will strikeout nearly 1,600 times this season.
That’s a level of consistency rarely seen by an Arte owned team.
Well, they are consistent.
Boy – their offensive plan of attack was way off.
You saw their plan of attack. Load the bases with no out, then K 3 straight. “K” ing is their specialty.
Make that 16 strike outs today
The MLB team record for the most strike outs in a game is 20.
Swung at ball 4
Why walk when you need base runners
Right!!
Every Angel but Adell has a K in this game.
Should have hit DArnaud for Lofan and let Teodosio cook..
Had Bryce managed to reach first base he’s much more likely to steal and come around to score.
Precisely
This team always thinks the HR will save us …
Darnaud k’d also.
26 Ks combined
Jansen is a beast. He simply refuses to cave. His mentality and example are much needed.
I hope to extend him. Let’s go 2 years at the same money.
Can he bat also?
For those keeping score: The 2025 edition of the LA Angels have now struck out 1,116 times this season, the equivalent of 41 full games of strikeouts.
That’s an average of 9.7 K’s per game. Essentially giving away three innings plus a guy on most nights.
but….but….but….playoffs! “Meaningful games.” “We’re obviously really competitive. I wanted to keep this group together.”
The limpness starts at the top and wiggles down from there…
“Unfinished business”
After they go down with a whimper in the 9th, then business will be finished.
Was that the most Angels thing ever or what?
I guess giving up a run here to really put the game out of reach will be it.
After squandering that opportunity, the team is mentally defeated.
Has any of these whiff machine batters ever hear of choking up on the bat to make contact? The coaching on this team must really stink or players aren’t listening.
They heard “choke” instead of “choke up”
Ha ha!
That’s perfect.
There a Bauer joke in here somewhere
Lol, i think you nailed it.
Oh. Here’s why we still have Jansen….
Been away a while. Funny to see you on Team Sad Donkey.
😝
This is Bullshit!
3 Ks and Trout didn’t get one!
Man – you found ANOTHER silver lining. Amazing!
Just need 1 man to reach in the bottom of the 9th to give him his chance.
24 outs, 15 by way of the strikeout. We don’t lead the majors in K’s for nothing.
Could be worse. Could be a Rockies fan today.
Oh, wow.
Their game last Friday was incredible.
The Jays need to cut the guy who missed the extra point.
