Angels Blow Out Dodgers 10-1

Last game of the Freeway series, and last time to see Ohtani at the Big A. Until next year. Ugh. Whatever. How did this team do anyway? Well Griffin Canning went 6 and 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, striking out 7 and walking 4. WHAT. And he was a few inches away from 7 scoreless innings too. Yeah. Outstanding game.

And what was more outstanding was the offense as they actually scored plenty if runs this time! Even Rendon contributed! RENDON. What year is it?! Yes this season has sucked, but a game like today’s really shows that sometimes, baseball is beautiful. Even for us.

Highlighted Recap

Rendon got the Angels up early with a 2 run single.

And M-I-C-K-E-Y hit a 3 run home run to put the blitz on in the first!

Then next inning, Niko hit a home run as well because why not? Like, who even is he?

And Rendon flashed some leather as well, making a great play in the 5th

Oh and Ward hit a Home Run in the 5th as well because he was missing out on the fun.

As mentioned above though, Canning couldn’t quite make it 7 scoreless as he allowed a run on a seeing eye single.

Not to fear, for Adell is here to get that run back in the 8th.

And Ward adds another as well.

Road time again for the Rangers and Twins. Neither team living up to their potential either, although at least they had some hope earlier this year, and the Twins may make the playoffs. Yeah. Not the Angels though.
