The Angels won yesterday. Somehow. That somehow being Nolan walking and Neto homer-ing. Also Joyce throwing GAS.

Who says the Angels have no prospects? Maybe he can start this week…

Mark Gubiza is now a Royal HOF member. And so the Angels won on Gubi Tuesdays. Seems fair.

Who has improved and gotten worse the most for defense? Not any Angel, somehow. I would have thought Jo Adell would have counted.

Season long win percentages in rolling 10 game windows. Pirates fell off a cliff. While the Angels have hovered around .500 for a while.

Which batters are the most feared in baseball? Scientifically, it is Judge, but also Yandy Diaz of the Rays? Huh? Maybe rethink your metrics…

Because we’re Angel fans…that’s why we still watch!!!

For 107 years Cubs fans didn’t stop watching the team.

For 86 years Suxs fans didn’t stop watching their team.

The list of long droughts is at least a dozen teams long.

I’ve got two Guardian fan good friends…1954 for them.

Halo W/S win drought is only 12 years with 5-10 to go.

Put me on the list of forever fucking (Aug) Angels Fan.

Even if Moreno sells and the team is moved out of O/C.

Actually it was 1948 for the GuardIndians, ’78. That team had the great Player Manager HOFer Lou Boudreau as well HOfers Larry Doby (who was called up about 2 months after Jackie Robinson the previous season) Joe Gordon, Rapid Robert Feller, Bob Lemon and 41 year old Satchel Paige in the bullpen.

The 1954 Tribe team won 111 games (and only lost 43 games) but was upset by the New York Giants and HOFer Willie Mays 4 games to 0 in the fall classic.

Anyone who participates on this site with any regularity is a real Angels fan. Most people could give 2 💩s about this team or even really baseball. So if you’re here, you’re legit.

Partisan fanship takes many forms. Some are on board with the team no matter what and no matter how poor the Organization. Others are still diehard fans but demand more from their beloved team. And there are shades of grey all over the place. There is no wrong or right answer.

If you are on this site at all you are a diehard by comparison to most Angel fans. If you check in a couple times a day and participate despite this awful Organization and mediocre team, then you are a hopeless Angel fan.

Expanding on the Neto talk… he’s currently *just* below .800 OPS. If he clears that threshold at season’s end, he’ll join some pretty select company in historic MLB terms for shortstops in their year-23 (or earlier) season. Only seven have done it… if my use of the Baseball Reference tool is correct.

Me being a forever Doyer hater….they showed how they are cheaters, again. They devised a way to get a baseball back on the field on a close HR with a trapdoor. So, in the playoffs this year, after Kershaw gives up his 2nd HR in 3 innings on a close play at the wall, the ball drops back onto the field, giving the appearance it never went over.

or, maybe it’s just a rat infestation that has ate through the outfield pavilion 🙃

At least they beat Jerry’s Kids!
