Morning Angels fans. Have some links.
Angels News
The Angels won yesterday. Somehow. That somehow being Nolan walking and Neto homer-ing. Also Joyce throwing GAS.
Who says the Angels have no prospects? Maybe he can start this week…
Mark Gubiza is now a Royal HOF member. And so the Angels won on Gubi Tuesdays. Seems fair.
Around Baseball
Remember Backyard Baseball? IT IS BACK!
LOLZ Mets. That is all.
Sometimes, you see things in Baseball you never seen before. Like the ball going behind the padding of the wall somehow.
Who has improved and gotten worse the most for defense? Not any Angel, somehow. I would have thought Jo Adell would have counted.
Season long win percentages in rolling 10 game windows. Pirates fell off a cliff. While the Angels have hovered around .500 for a while.
Which batters are the most feared in baseball? Scientifically, it is Judge, but also Yandy Diaz of the Rays? Huh? Maybe rethink your metrics…

so Victor Mederos is keeper over Hans Crouse in the bullpen?

Huh.
At least we kept Baumann and Burke. Canāt imagine life without them.
Wow, last night Hunter Renfroe had two hits for the Royals, when he was with us, that would’ve taken him at least a week to accomplish.
Because weāre Angel fansā¦thatās why we still watch!!!
For 107 years Cubs fans didnāt stop watching the team.
For 86 years Suxs fans didnāt stop watching their team.
The list of long droughts is at least a dozen teams long.
Iāve got two Guardian fan good friendsā¦1954 for them.
Halo W/S win drought is only 12 years with 5-10 to go.
Put me on the list of forever fucking (Aug) Angels Fan.
Even if Moreno sells and the team is moved out of O/C.
Actually it was 1948 for the GuardIndians, ’78. That team had the great Player Manager HOFer Lou Boudreau as well HOfers Larry Doby (who was called up about 2 months after Jackie Robinson the previous season) Joe Gordon, Rapid Robert Feller, Bob Lemon and 41 year old Satchel Paige in the bullpen.
The 1954 Tribe team won 111 games (and only lost 43 games) but was upset by the New York Giants and HOFer Willie Mays 4 games to 0 in the fall classic.
Even longer 76 years of suffering…thanks 26.
“Halo W/S win drought is only 12 years with 5-10 to go.”
i’m trying to process this.
Surgeon Generals Warning.
Brain Cells will be Cooked!!
Am I missing something?
2024-2002=22 years doesn’t it?
I can’t believe it’s been 22 years.
Apparently I cant count todayā¦.Offspring understands.
āThe more you suffer the more it shows you really care.ā

Anyone who participates on this site with any regularity is a real Angels fan. Most people could give 2 š©s about this team or even really baseball. So if youāre here, youāre legit.
Partisan fanship takes many forms. Some are on board with the team no matter what and no matter how poor the Organization. Others are still diehard fans but demand more from their beloved team. And there are shades of grey all over the place. There is no wrong or right answer.
If you are on this site at all you are a diehard by comparison to most Angel fans. If you check in a couple times a day and participate despite this awful Organization and mediocre team, then you are a hopeless Angel fan.
Welcome to the Club.
Nope. I am not legit.
I check in daily, but don’t necessarily say anything (a far cry from my HH debut).
Expanding on the Neto talk… he’s currently *just* below .800 OPS. If he clears that threshold at season’s end, he’ll join some pretty select company in historic MLB terms for shortstops in their year-23 (or earlier) season. Only seven have done it… if my use of the Baseball Reference tool is correct.

Actually a few more than that… more in the 15-16 range it looks like. (Need to pay to unlock the full list.)
You know what I’m about to say… Baseball is a crazy game. Anything can happen, but it usually doesn’t.
Me being a forever Doyer haterā¦.they showed how they are cheaters, again. They devised a way to get a baseball back on the field on a close HR with a trapdoor. So, in the playoffs this year, after Kershaw gives up his 2nd HR in 3 innings on a close play at the wall, the ball drops back onto the field, giving the appearance it never went over.
or, maybe itās just a rat infestation that has ate through the outfield pavilion š
At least they beat Jerryās Kids!
Go Johnny go, go, go, Go Johnny go!!
Let’s see if Cueto has got something left in the rusty tank.
Ben Joyce throws hard.

and effective with that sphincter pitch or whatever they call it
The season Zach Neto is putting together isn’t being talked about enough.
Special, special player. Glad he’s ours.
IMHO it’s the .260ish BA that keeps raves away from Neto.
It’s the Angels’ mediocrity and market favoritism that keeps the raves away. If he was doing this on the Yankees… yada yada.
I agree, Trout took a while to get ROY love when he was rolling.
We talking ROY for Neato Neto?
Finally had numbers put on my generic red jersey a month or so ago. Wound up with Neto’s #9.
Why would anybody even watch an Angels game unless they were a fan of the opposing team. Hard for Neto to get any eyeballs on his fantastic game.
They have been watchable (outside of the first inning) since early Juneā¦ IMO.
Painful at times, but yeah, I still watch.
And Tonite Its time for Johnny Beisbol
Will be interesting to see what the old (38) guy can do.
Good win…let’s do it again.
