The Angels want to end July strong, right? I mean, this team has been not completely terrible as of late (except vs the A’s). Besides, this is a brand new team, with 2 fewer good RP, and a time when calls ups happen like Bachman, it is a time to think optimistically, right? So, who was on the mound tonight? Davis Daniel. Well, maybe he was fixed again, how did he do? He went 5 innings, giving up 1 runs on 5 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1.
Not bad, not bad at all kid. Yes road Rockies but it is an MLB team that scored a lot yesterday. Only giving up 1 meant the Angels had a great chance.
The real story though was Luis Rengifo getting injured yet again. He could not finish his at bat and concern is all around about how bad it is.
Highlighted Recap
The Rockies scored first in the first.
But after that it was a pitching duel, it staying that way until the bottom of the 5th.
It was tight but the Rockies cored next, with a home run in the 8th.
The Angels now had to come back late yet again to win this.
But instead, Rengifo got hurt. Again. Couldn’t even finish his at bat. STOP EXPLODING YOU COWARDS!
Angels lose not only the game, but Rengifo as we all wonder what prospects we could have had instead of an injured player.
Upcoming
Another Rockies game tomorrow, as we welcome in August! Lots of fun things in August, like going to the pool, or the beach, or a bathtub filled with your own tears. Wait…
Ahh….churn the page
Hard to envision this team improving with the decisions they make and the injuries that curse a large part of the payroll.
At least we’re not the White Sox!
They’ve lost 17 straight and are stuck on 27 wins (total) going into August.
Well, at least they have a consistent strategy….and their GM is rebuilding their farm system despite having a shitty owner.
All those runs and hits last night.
Should be seeing the shufflebot, instead we’re remembering the team is not particularly good
