Taylor Ward blasted a 3 run shot in the top of the first inning to stake the Angels to a 4-0 lead.
Armed with a 4 run lead, Patrick Sandoval went to work. He was dominant but not efficient.
Sandoval left in the 6th inning up 4-1. Zach Neto delivered a clutch two out rbi hit to push the lead back to 4 runs.
Neto delivered with the bat and the glove. A highlight reel double play helped keep the Angels in the lead.
It was a good day for the Angels bullpen. Aaron Loup didn’t pitch!, But newcomer Chris Devinski induced the double play above and threw two scoreless innings. Moore followed up with a clean 8th and Carlos Esteves managed the 9th
