Ward played some 3B which allowed us to slip in Devon White, so the gloves are out there. But so is last year’s Walsh/Ward/Wade but at least it is not the 22 OPS+ of Brandon Wood!

It is no pleasure leaving Clyde Wright off this list but the numbers do not lie. It IS a pleasure, though, leaving CJ Wilson and his 96 ERA+ off this team for sure. Mike Witt did pitch out of the pen 42 times as an Angel, most memorably in a combined no-hitter with Mark Langston, but Walden and Weber surpass him here, as they do over Hall-of-Famer Hoyt Wilhelm, the earliest-born Angel (July 26, 1922) in team history for what its worth!
