Weird – I had so much fun at the ballpark that night, I didn’t even realize it was a nail-biter. Thanks for letting me know! 😀
Nevin sucking up for a one year deal next season? https://twitter.com/JeffFletcherOCR/status/1576645177032077312
Could someone explain that catcher interference rule, I didn’t see a clear path for Suzuki.
I vote to get rid of the subjective rule
How do you get rid of a rule when nobody understands its implementation in the first place?
Looks like Heim was standing directly on the plate before the ball got there. Apparently New York decided if he’s on the plate he’s not blocking the path to the plate.
Last night’s game displayed both the promise and intrinsic failures of the roster, with most of the money going to three players, only two of who produce. The farm system is definitely beginning to bear fruit, and a lot depends on if players like O’Hoppe, Soto, and even Adell can contribute, as well as the developing starters like Suarez, Detmers, and Sandoval.
Is Soto for real?
Let’s hope so.
Another 100 ABs and we’ll find out. A lot of Soto hits have been soft but they still count.
yep I dont want any hard hit bunts.
6 in a row!
Baseball can be fun shuffle!
That was the kind of 9th inning that I like. No drama.
So weird to see Tepera acting like a real quality pitcher, even when that ump was squeezing him.
Yep. He went out there and did his f**king job as a closer.
Nice Suzuki got a nice on body souvenir of the game.
Go Halos!!
I see we clinched 3rd place in the AL West.
That is nothing to feel good about. At the time of the brawl, Mariners were behind the Angels. Normally, someone would be held accountable for that. GM said to blame him. He has 1 more chance to turn this around.
Soto is cheering me up about 2022 and certainly about 2023 or 2024.
Yeah, looking like he’ll move Fletcher to 2B to stay
Im still not sold on Soto defense. And I’m not sure he has a big enough arm to play short full time . Watching Fletcher play short ( or second for that matter) his range is fantastic. Fletch seems to get to so many ball that no-one else ( with the exception of Squid) can get to and still can make the throws with enough velocity even though it looks like hes short arming the throws just to get enough velocity on it.
Either way The Angels will have decisions to make in the next year. Neto and Kyren are on their way. Neto got all of the starts at Rocket City relegating Soto to a utility role. Neto is already considered to be a superior hitter and did nothing at AA to change that mind set. ( Although that leg kick at the MLB level is concerning) But the Angels must feel Neto’s defense is superior despite the fact that Neto had a shit ton of errors in his brief pro debut. Kyren Paris is only 20 years old with blazing speed and from what limited video I saw his defense and throwing arm look plus plus right now for second base. And in his last 120 PAs in high A/ Double AA something clicked with him offensively.
Offensively its interesting that Soto is having success but watching his swing it makes sense. he doesn’t have many moving parts with his swing path to the ball will go the other way and is a great bunter. I think the Angels ultimately view him as a Maicer that can play multiple infield positions but will hit effectively throughout the line up. Fletcher will play very day if healthy. So depending upon Rendons health and development of Rengifo, I really doubt the Angels sign an outside short stop next year certainly no one that would come here for more than one year.
Yeah, Soto reminds me a lot of Izzy.
Might Maicer is a good comp.
Agree with all this. I think you captured it perfectly, just trying to put the bat on the ball and not swing from the heels. I’m not seeing a full-time player here.
Livon likes his money
But whatever you do, dont F’ with his kid.

This just gets better every time.
I’m giving Panther to Suzuki. You get your bell ring like that, and still put your ass behind the plate, you’re the f**king panther
I was happy to see him stay in. Last home start before he calls it a career is special.
Angels Win!
