I predicted Grandpa would have only 1/2 as many play appearances as Walshie this year since Grandpa can no longer remotely touch over 2/3’s of the pitchers in the league.
You can blame Perry for not building a competent bench. You can also blame him for failing to acquire a competent everyday shortstop or left fielder for a second straight year. But Blaming him for Walsh’s & Stassi’s poor performances or for injuries to Trout, Rendon & Fletcher is just ridiculous.
Also do you give him credit for the development of Ohtani, Ward & Rengifo? Someone deserves it.
There had to be some talent there for the Braves to put him on the WS roster last year. Also I figured Perry must known him pretty well or he wouldn’t have taken him in the first place.
Then again PTP knew Thor, Poop & Tepoora really well from his Toronto days.
