In a season that has death spiraled, the smallest bit of fortune feels most grand.
Like winning 2 in a row. A feat that hasn’t happened in July for the Angels before today.
Janson Junk’s July 27th start just showed that the Angels starting pitching was in good hands. 5 innings, no runs and only 4 hits. He struck out 8 and walked only 1 as he clamed his first victory.
But the real reason for 2 in a row was the offense. Fresh off of a strong outing last night, they scored again today! The biggest contributors were Gosselin, Marsh, and Squid, the bottom of the lineup coming through.
Highlighted Recap
It was a pitching duel to start the game. A scoreless affair until the top of the 5th, when, after Kurt Suzuki reached, the Goose was loose, as Phil Gosselin tripled him in!
Marsh drove him in for the crucial 2nd run!
More almost came but the Royals still had great defensive players on their team.
It was bullpen time for both teams now, and the Angels again outdid the Royals, scoring again in the 7th thanks to Squid and a really bad throw.
Ohtani was tired of the bottom of the lineup getting all the hits, so he singled in the 4th run of the game!
D-Cell came in to secure the win in a non save situation. He had some help from his CF, who was still not Trout, as he is still injured. But he shut the door, as the Angels shutout the Royals for the second game in a row!
The Angels have won 2 in a row, and return home tomorrow. Shohei Ohtani has a chance to make it 3 in a row as there is finally good news for once.

Patrick just dropped word that Taylor Ward’s wife is named … Taylor Ward.
Mind blown.
Now if her maiden name was also Ward I would be a little worried.
…are they from West Virginia?
almost…. Fresno. 😂👍

Sweep 4 from Texas and then 3 from Oakland and I’ll be then willing to tolerate a modicum of excitement.
Gotta get that #15 Draft Pick!
The new draft lotto might mess that plan up for us.
Any doctor on this thread who can explain Trout’s medical situation and the likelihood that he’ll return this.season?
I’m a retired Proctologist, so I know a thing or two about his situation.
https://youtu.be/GP_0BhCw2rg
A proctologist you say? I would like to …

Good stuff!
The Angels winning two in a row?
So… With the news today about Trout should he still play in the WBC?
He’ll be e healthy for that. It’s just the Angels regular season that he’s injured for
The Plumber’s OPS of .461 is downright Premium
The Plumber’s Yelp rating is horrible….time to find a new one.
It should be fairly simple for Glassman to heal and stay healthy for some time. QUIT TRYING TO JACK THE BALL 490 FEET EVERY SWING. Making contact lessens the strain on the whole body, especially the back. Trout needs to get back to his hitting what he is given.
Has the return of the Goose changed the team dynamics? It may be entirely coincidental but since his return there seems to be more life to a near dead horse.
It would be hilarious if the key to winning wasn’t Trout, Rendon or Ohtani….it was Goose droppings.
We’ll let’s just hope the Goose bump lasts
dude’s can get knocked up. should last 9 months.
The only conclusion I can draw thus far is that the Royals are really bad.
The news about Trout is really sad and concerning.
Angel fan diehards, sometime in 2035 or so:
“Remember the day Mike Trout was diagnosed with a rare joint ailment in his back and he said his career wasn’t over?”
“Yea, he never played another game after that, right? Was that the year they started out great, then lost 12 straight and ended, like 59-103?”
“It was 14 straight and they ended up 57-105. Man that seems like a long time ago. Hey: a bit of trivia for you: the day Trout announced he had a rare condition, who started for the Angels and pitched 5 scoreless innings for a very rare Angels 2-game winning streak?”
“Jeez…who was on those terrible teams…I dunno…Bedrosian?”
“Naw: another guess.”
“I’m thinking…Detmers?”
“Naw: Janson Junk!”
“Oh wow! I forgot he started out with the Angels! Two-time Cy Young winner for the muth-effing Yankees. That’s a good trivia question, man.”
“Yea, who cares. We’re gonna three-peat this year, baby!”
Aaaaaand SCENE!
There’s a couple of guys on here with that mindset
It’s not a mindset, if caught early – it’s a treatable affliction
It’s not double header wins but it sure feels good two days in a row to have it lit
This is excatly why HGH was created, Mr. Trout..Mr. Canseco is waiting in Room 27. Pull up your shirt for an adominal injection. This will take care of all your heal time and get you back to winning baseball or baseball.
Trout, today, to a reporter:
>”I think he meant that I have to stay on top of the routine I do on a daily basis to keep it from coming back,” Trout said after watching his Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 4-0 to clinch their first series win in nearly a month.
“I’m appreciative of all the prayer requests, but my career is not over.”<
Yea, I estimate Sept.15th as his farewell “I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the Earth” speech.
“…have to stay on top of the routine I do on a daily basis to keep it from coming back”
Well, that explains why he won’t be playing a game for another two weeks.
Reading about David Wright. He had a different back malady but his pregame ritual to loosen up his back was 4-5 hours each game
He had a different MyLady before each game? My Man!
Trout was so sad and burned out by playing for Moreno Malvado…. the incredible burden and hardship that comes from spending so much time near a veritable blast furnace of evil… the blinding darkness…. the constant 90s action movie techno….
Eventually it caused his back to come off.
It’s “fat wallet” disease and it destroyed Trout’s skeletal structure
Another win? Here they go again screwing up landing a top 10 draft position in 2023.

Where do I renounce my fandom?
That’s fine right there.
Lol. Noted.😂
I would but I’m too G.A. to do it.
Winning two straight? We’re traveling through another dimension: a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of Mind. Winning two straight, even against KC? It’s between Light and Shadow, between Science and Superstition. Without Trout, winning two straight? This lies between the pit of Man’s fears, and the Summit of his Knowledge. There’s the signpost up ahead! Their next stop: John Wayne Airport!
We’ve heard this tune before. See you next Spring. Enjoy the time off with Jess and Beckham:
“Mike Trout says concern about his newly diagnosed “costovertebral disfunction” is overblown and they will play again this year. The Orange County Register’s Jeff Fletcher said he talked to Trout this afternoon about the news that has been trending on Twitter. Trout said the condition is something he’ll have to manage, but that he’s not worried about his career. “I got to stay on top of the routine I do on a daily basis to prevent it from coming back,” Trout said. “I feel good where it’s at right now. Every day it’s improving. I felt really good today.”
Well, no one expected him to come out and say “Yeah, shit’s fucked, bruv, my career may be over”
The fact is we can no longer expect him to stay on the field for any meaningful length of time.
Looks like it’s time to hire Phil Jackson and save Trout for the playoffs.
We could all use a lil Zen in our lives.
I’m still tryna snatch the pebble from Keye Luke’s hand. I suck!
Well, did you watch that video with the Dr. Morse from Florida ? Apparently the ligament/s around the releveant disc (T5, I think) is very, very shaky. He will need some kind of regenerative procedure, like PRP injections or something similar to help strengthen the ligament and area.
Swinging a baseball bat with full force is probably not what is needed right now.
It sounds like he’s done for the year, especially since we’re not playing for anything. Same logic as last year.
Yeah, those were my thoughts as well. That was basically my point.
Well, the next decade of watching Mike Trout sit on the bench will be a complete hoot. The bonfire of Arte’s cash burns even brighter.
They can create a Trout/Rendon wing off in the corner somewhere.
This is the result of spending too much time with Albert.
The solution is clearly to swing a bat like Squid.
The FO was smart and snuck junk in there for a start before we could realize he was coming and shit all over him. Thus he had good ju ju and pitched well.
Trade him. Now.
