INNING 2: Alex Verdugo doubled and went to third on a Vasquez groundout. Franchy Corder reached on an exploded bat grounder that almost took out Ohtani. Verdugo was thrown out at home by Squid. Jackie Bradle Jr. struck out to end the Boston half of the inning. Jo Adell hit a leadoff double. Dillon Thomas got hit by a pitch and Tyler Wade got a hit to load the bases. Lagares and Squid racked up 3 LOBsters.
INNING 3: Dalbec singled and got to third on a ground out and wild pitch. Devers then struck out to end the Sox half of the inning. The Angels did nothing in this inning.
INNING 4: Neither side did anything productive.
INNING 5: The Red Sox did nothing. Lagares singled! Shohei Ohtani then homered to take the lead. Stassi and Walsh then each struck out to make sure the lead was not great.
INNING 6: Boston didn’t really do anything. Jo Adell walked. Dillon Thomas walked. the Red Sox yanked Pivetta. Hirokazu Sawamura got Mayfield to ground out and Wade to strike out before Velasquez hit one of his patented “where did that come from?” homers to make it 5-1 Halos. Lagares popped out.
Inning 7: The Red Sox did nothing. Shohei Ohtani singled and Stassi walked. The next three guys did nothing.
INNING 8: Ryan Tepera now came in to replace Ohtani as pitcher. Christian Arroyo singled and stole second base. Alex Verdugo also singled scoring Arroyo. Christian Vasquez grounded into the third out. The Angels did nothing. 5-2 Angels.
NINTH INNING: Raisel Iglesias came in to pitch. Franchy Cordero struck out. Jackie Bradley Jr.lined out to Dillon Thomes who was in right field at the time. Bobby Dalbec struck out swinging. The Angels didn’t need to bat. I guess we won dudes and dudettes! Major game for Shohei!

Tonight, we all shared in the winning spirit once again and did not fall prey. We got the monkey off our backs; a new day starts winning, looking forward to a second win after the streak! Party on Dudes, it is something marvelous to feel. I am a fan, an Angels fan, and we will persevere. No amount of Negative Nancie’s, Debbie Downers, or losers can change the fact we have a losing streak no more. Shohei and Squid took on the Streak and we all prevailed.
