From Jeff Fletcher’s write up after losing 10-0, Angels’ 9th straight loss:
>“It looks terrible,” Maddon said. “I know that. When you’re not hitting, it looks like you’re lifeless. It appears to be that way. But when you’re not hitting a lot of things look wrong. We’ll stay with the guys. We’re going to come back. It’s going to be fine.
“But in the meantime, it’s difficult to watch. It’s hard for the guys. The only way to do this is to keep pushing it forward and eventually come out the other side. I absolutely positively believe that. I’m not just saying that. But in the meantime, it’s difficult to watch.”
Catcher Max Stassi said the Angels might need to dial down the effort because they’re pressing.
“This group as a whole is the type that like will try too hard,” Stassi said. “So it’s almost like we need to go and let it just come to us. … This is the big leagues. Every game is important. It’s not a way of saying, ‘Oh, we’ll get ’em tomorrow.’ We need to address things. Guys are addressing it. It’s just not showing up in the game.”<
Agree in the sense that I don’t think firing Maddon is the answer. If Maddon were as bad as some are saying he never would have gotten us to 10 games over .500. There is something else going on, and I am not sure what it is.

Another Shitty Loss
LOL……..stopped crying there for a sec…
If you guys think that this is bad now….
Imagine a lineup that looks like this:
1. Ohtani
2. Trout
3. Walsh
-50 feet of crap-
4-9 hitters
The road to .500 continues…..
We are not deserving of a postgame write up. Or if they did post one, it should been written by 2002.
This somehow sums it up I feel.
The Angels held their strikeouts down to 8 tonight. Duffy is still hitting over.300 as is Ward. Wantz pitched well. Everything was not all bad.

Except that me and the guy in this picture have the same personal trainer and nutritionist, LOL!!!
Angels outscored 27-3 on road trip…
I just don’t see how it can get better any time soon. There’s losing streaks, and there’s ass kickings. Drink responsible
The players need to perform. They aren’t, hence the losing streak.
This is the correct take.

Wow. I mean, uh, wow.
Blown out by a losing team with a 23-29 record. Couldn’t even score a run. Pitiful.
