ManBearFred has been working on pace of play for a few seasons now. *0’s games were mostly under 3 hours. Then Boston and New York became the rivalry. ESPN has just let them slow things down to a snails pace. Then add in all of the extra ads. Teams just got used to now being urgent.
back in the 60s and 70s the breaks in between half innings were shorter. I should check out just how much. My feeling is that the commercial breaks add a half hour but I will do research and report back.
Let’s face it, Jerry schooled Perry in building a pen during the offseason. Jedi brought in hard throwers and we bring in Gumby’s, weird release point guys. Kicking Middleton to the curb was a questionable decision at the time and now we know it was a bad move. F-u Perry.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way, Kind of like marriage. But It was nice knowing you Bradllee424. Hopefully Bradllee425 will be much more loyal.
I thought the bullpen wasn’t the issue, releasing Key and Robles was not smart in my opinion. A pen of Iglesias, Rodriguez, Middleton, Robles, Mayers sounds a lot better. Still not good, let the suck age continue
Nobody believes me when I say these things; not only did I say that Key was still good and we should have kept him, I said the same about Robles. Key has been a little bit better, but Robles does have four saves with the Twins this year and has a 3.28 ERA. He has also only given up one HR in 24 IP.
Alot of people here call to trade our pitchers or otherwise kick them to the curb when they have one poor season or sometimes even one poor half season !! They don’t understand that baseball careers have ebbs and flows.
Look at Kris Bryant. Based upon last year if you gave up on him you’d be missing out on an MVP type of season this year !!
eesh watching the lakers in between innings. Basketball sure has changed a lot. Technical fouls flagrants replay reviews just let them play ball. Baby game
I haven’t watched basketball in a few years. I was a die hard Lakers fan. But, with LeBron and his crybaby self coming there, totally turned me off. And with the NBA turning into a political platform, it’s garbage now.
Also replays in the NBA are a joke. Reviewing fouls or lack of fouls call. Shooting balls from half-court….uglier to watch now. But with baseball, we got pitch counts, launch angels, spin rates, exit velocities, speed guns, strange rule changes…and lousy play by play guys.

A robot for a night like this!
Back in the 60’s and 70’s it wasn’t uncommon for games to be under two hours. Now, 3+ is the norm.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ballgame! Good night halo fans!
Still have some life left. Maybe we see a brawl on the field. You never know.
Sure wouldn’t mind having Major Key’s 2.75 ERA
They always flourish after leaving this team.

I mean Eppler did nothing but get hard throwing spin rate waiver guys and it accomplished nothing
Guys it is time to find a new team to root for. This team is never going to win again. We will always have the memory of 2002.

Comment of the night, does this insinuate it was once Bradlee001? LOL
Down goes Stassi on gas. I share a different viewpoint. Eppler may not have brought in the right arms. Slop artists have little room for error.

It’ll be interesting to see how long of a leash Minasian is going to have. This year’s work has been a major fail.
I would give Minasian another off season. If this team still sucks this bad next year then he needs to go.
Time to find another team. This team is never going to win anything again.
Fold like a cheap tent.
No heart on this team at all. I guess it is easier to lose than win.
Come on SHO TIME
Ballgame
Kyle looks like the Hugo puppet with that chrome dome
Runs like a puppet too
Splitting image….lol.
That did it. 5.21 now. Good job Claudio!!
?1
Did the two of you place a bet in Vegas or what?
Hey, that answer stays there bud
Well, that’s it for me. Maybe it’s a good thing that I work during the rest of this home stand.
You fought the good fight
Claudio is such a great pitcher…for batting practice. DFA this dolt.
So on the bright side tickets are getting cheaper people haha.
Would be nice if we were as exciting as the Padres
I love petco park.
There we go. Our bullpen at its best! BALLGAME!
Sadly I think you’re right. Might just stick around for one more rally monkey sighting and we don’t leave early
Claudio really hasn’t been good in the games Ive seen him at home… and probably the entire year for that matter
