The Hall of fame Induction Ceremony has been postponed until 2021. Dr. Anthony Fauci is saying we may have to do without baseball this season. He again brought up the empty stadiums/players in isolation idea which the MLBPA probably won’t agree to. MLB continues to be positive on having a season so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Several teams have now offered ticket refunds. Will the Angels jump on this bandwagon? Angels spokeswoman Marie Garvey says yes they will. Manny Ramirez, who turns 48 next month, is pursuing a comeback in Taiwan. He doesn’t yet have a team. Will Yadier Molina become available as a free agent? He wants to continue playing, even if it means wearing a different uniform. Fangraphs is crowdsourcing what the 2020 season might look like.
More Activities for the Bored
I guess this is an activity: Which Mike Trout are you? The Albert Pujols coloring page doesn’t really look like him as far as I am concerned. An Angels Word Search Activity is here. Here is the recipe for Angels Stadium Empanadas.
found another video of the Angels 2002 post-season run

They got the scruff right re: Pujols coloring book, but there’s something off, I just can’t pinpoint it! Nice links.
It’s like they gave him Babe Ruth’s body. Something about the eyes seems off to me.
Here’s a picture of that pose (with different pants):

The coloring page makes his eyes too beady and his face too short (from the bridge of his nose to the chin). The lips are little too big and missing that determined grimace.
Yeah, I think it’s the lack of the grimace. That’s his defining factor.
Pants always mess things up. Always.
This is the perfect justification for life to be pants optional.
It’s the Goatee. Pujols always has a trimmed neat goat. The coloring looks more like Josh Hamilton’s.
he’s playing baseball on one leg – that seems accurate
Good on the Angels to be refunding ticket sales.
Refunding the cash is absolutely the right thing to do. I bought 2 tickets on Stubhub for the Apr 1-2 games in Arlington but haven’t had any word on refunds as of yet. In fact, they changed their “FanProtect Guarantee” AFTER I bought the tickets from either a full cash refund or a 100% Stubhub credit to solely a 120% Stubhub credit. The only way they’ll give a full cash refund is if you live in a state where cash refunds are required by law. I would imagine that there are now a lot more folks that need the cash way more than a credit. Great “FanProtect Guarantee” isn’t it? Stubhub touts itself as a ticketing partner of MLB but isn’t following baseball’s lead.
Sorry for the rant………..
Rant away. They deserve it.
Hopefully there is a younger, more-consumer friendly company that comes into the fold…
does the refunds include 2015-2019?
I’ve never had empanadas at the Big A. I didn’t even know they were available! Where do you get them, and are they any good?
I have celiac disease so I think the wrappers are poisonous to me. The recipe came from the official Angels site so if I poke around a bit I might be able to figure out where to look for them.
Casa Modelo, Terrace Level, Section 260. Cost $6.50. OC Register said it was the sauce that was the good part.
The first Saturday in May is almost upon us. it’s a little off topic and a little NSFW, but this is one of the best pieces of sports journalism ever and if you’re looking for some sports entertainment today and haven’t read it, here it is —–dedicated to Rev Halofan
