I love having Joe Maddon on board. He sounds just like a manager should sound. He seems to see things Sosh and Brad didn’t. And he clearly has a nice relationship with the players.
Since this is Bedrosian’s final year of arbitration, it would be super swell for him to pack into a single season all the missed opportunity and squandered potential from the prior 5 years, and help anchor the relief corps.
I’m hoping for him to have a season with FIP under .200 and a 4:1 K/BB. Stuff like that. Just have a lights-out season.
Adell is still a work in progress, and his long swing will cause a lot of Ks. What we are seeing thus far is fairly accurate for who he is today as a player. I am an advocate for his spending time in SLC to learn his craft. The way Maddon is talking about Fletcher in RF for some starts, that may well be the plan.
