My ride through the annals of Halos Heaven was relatively short in the grand scheme of things but certainly not uneventful. I will save the gory details that most of you all know anyway, but the fact of the matter is that I and most (or all) of you kept coming back to Halos Heaven because of the community. That is certainly what drew me in initially.
Fast forward to SBN informing us at the end of 2019 that we were all essentially out of jobs. This came as a shock to me and I had to re-read the email a few time to take it all in. What happens now? I honestly wasn’t sure at first. I did not want to leave the community behind – nor did anyone else on the staff. It was pretty much all of us together or nothing. The latter certainly was not a palatable option. SBN head honchos offered me a consulting gig to stay on and help the next site master over the next year but that just didn’t feel right.
I love baseball. I love the Angels. I love this community. And of course, I love writing about the Angels. It felt like the best way to keep this all going was to move on to a new site. MLB teams do that all the time, right? It was a collective agreement and all the former HH writers are of one voice in all of this. It’s a wonderful thing. There is no one site master or EIC any more. Most of all the decisions for this new site will be made by the collective writer group. However, all things need some order, so we do have a trio of site admins here (odd numbers prevent tie votes!).
In the end, this isn’t our site. This is the community’s site. A place to come rave and bitch about the Angels. Some of the traditions for the from HH will likely live on here and we will also create new ones. Crashing the Pearly Gates as someone said, evokes The Angels and also has a bit of the edge that has always existed on this site in one form or another. We hope you enjoy the show and thanks for coming along for the ride. Let this new adventure begin!

Cool new digs! Life got in the way and I was not participating much over the past year at HH, but I was still reading the content and you all were killing it, as usual. I was sad to see it come to an end.
Glad to see so many familiar faces already jumping on board, along with some old HH friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Look forward to wasting many hours here this season!

SBN’s loss is definitely our gain. Very happy we have our Angels playground in very capable hands, but I hope you washed them first.
Never liked the “Of Anaheim” and after years of correcting other teams fans that it is no longer part of the name, it is weird to see a serious Angels site posting Anaheim.
Can’t wait for the season to begin. Time for the Angels to start winning again. Troutani ftw!

Just wanted to thank y’all for moving the “HH” party to “CTPG”! Its been a while since I posted, but I am totally excited about this upcoming season and for y’all, who made the last few (or more then a few) campaigns bearable with your wit and humor.
Jessica is truly the driving force here. We decided as a group to stick together and find a way to carry on and Jessica went to work.

I can’t get over how serendipitous it is that Halos Heaven’s “retirement” coincides with none other than Curtis Granderson. Ladies and gentlemen, he is officially no longer available. And with his career dies one of the greatest HH inside jokes.
