Zach Neto won AL Player of the Week. Tyler Bremner just had a dominant start against the Brewers Double-A affiliate.

Ben Clemens is using modern analytical data to examine old baseball adages. In this one, he takes a look at “Hard in, soft away.” ZiPS projects Mike Trout to end up with 497 homers. It says he has a 47% chance of making it to 500.

The Arizona Fall League schedule is out.

The Astros and their General Manager Dana Brown have parted ways.

The Yankees are expected to select the contract of veteran reliever Justin Topa.

We all knew Adell was going to ship out and we all felt that a knew surrounding might bring out his full potential and that is exactly what has happened and there should be no one who doesn’t wish him the best, Adell doing well, Marsh doing well, the Angels just seem to show that they need help in coaching and teaching and working what players to get the max from them, Go Mo!

I’m happy to see that Guzman & Moore are now starting most of these games, though it would be nice if the latter could clear the Mendoza Line over the next month.

Klassen, though he struggled a bit, still battled thru it and allowed the team a chance to win. At least theoretically. Following his previous start – which was near perfect -regression was likely, but, he didn’t completely fall apart. I consider that to be progress. Significant progress in fact.

Yeah, Trout’s power has fallen off a cliff over the past couple of months. His flagging batting average was somewhat tolerable when he still possessed prodigious power, but, now? It’s sad to witness.

And yet, he continues to lead the team in OBP by a significant margin.

Have you checked out Colorado’s hot closer? Some guy named Jordan Romano who has saved 8 games against 1 blown save, allowed 4 runs over 15 appearances and hasn’t given up a home run yet. I wish we had him … oh, wait …

Nope. That dude doesn’t cross my mind at all. He was an angel for a few months and that’s it.

Agreed. Headliner stirring up trouble for no reason.

I looked up “click bait headline” and it said “See MSN Sports.”

he didn’t take a swipe at all.
Whoever of Twitter posted the OG “quote” left out some important pieces and spliced it to make it look that way

Horrible headline designed to get clicks. And I hope Logan doesn’t really feel that way. His work in the community and interacting with kids was incredible. Off the field he is a great guy.

And on the field he had his moments. Just not enough of them.

Klassen looked like a normal young pitcher last night. Allowed too many runners and was less efficient. But it was still a solid start, kept his team in the game. No complaints there.

I am encouraged by the signs of life from Josh Lowe. If he can keep hitting through the end of the season not only will it set him up to have success melt away during a long lock out, but it will also torture some Angels fans who will continue to complain about him as his 30 game wRC rises.

Christian Moore. I’d really like to see him do some good stuff. They were smart and left him and Rada in SLC. I really hope to see that pay off next season at some point.

Jo Adell looks good in a Guardindians uniform. He looks the same when he strikes out though….

I also would say that Moore looks much more comfortable at 2B since his return.

KC played themselves out of the tank race with their 9 game winning streak.

As long as we hold off SF we’ll secure top 3 lottery odds

Is SF eligible for a top pick?

I just really want to get in front of the A’s for waiver wire priority. This could be a particularly good year to have first pick of the talent the Dodgers, Rays, and Brewers will not be able to keep as the Rule V draft rolls around.

And I double checked the deadline to set rosters is prior to the end of the CBA so those cutdowns will happen.
