This was a tough game today. The Orioles went out in front 1-0 thanks to Adley Rutschman. The Angels came out and scored two runs in the first but the Orioles reclaimed those runs in the fifth inning. The score stayed close.
Some scoring, bros! Doesn’t happen every day. Taylor Ward was useful.
In the top of the sixth inning, the Angels gave up another run with a wild pitch by Connor Brogdon and you could feel the game slipping away. Emmanuel Rivera scored on a sac bunt and Gunnar Henderson homered to score another two. 7-2 Orioles. Sorry mom! That’s a lot of defecit to overcome.
And now we come to the intense innings. The bottom of the eighth started off with a Zach Neto strikeout. Not auspicious. Yoan Moncada grounded out to first. Jorge Soler also struck out.
The Orioles did nothing in the top of the ninth inning, leaving the Angels to score a mere five runs to tie the game. Taylor Ward grounded out to third. Logn O’Hoppe wasted no time about lining out to right. Matthew Lugo cam in to pinch hit for Jo Adell. He homered, Bro! 7-3. It may have been too little too late, but it was something to write home about.
Kyren Paris struck out to end the game. The Angels lost 7-3.
