The Angels are in Houston, and it is the perfect time for this. Houston is off to a slow start, the Angels are on fire, and you miss both of Houston’s best pitchers. So how does Jack Kochanowicz do? He goes 4 and 2/3 innings giving up 6 (3 while on the mound) runs on 6 hits striking out 1 and walking 3. Yeesh. Not good. Not at all. And Daniels giving up that Grand Slam really did not help at all.
But this was the 2025 Angels. They don’t go down quietly. Not with this offense. Paris stayed hot. Trout hit a home run again. And… Yeah. Not this time. Too big of a deficit. Too little game left. Turn the page. Get ready for the next day. You can
Highlighted Recap
Houston got the first run on a sac fly in the 2nd.
But hey, a nice catch by Ward to end that inning
And Mike Trout hit a solo shot in the 4th to tie the game!
And then took the lead in the top of the 5th!
Lowlighted Recap
Everything was looking good. And then, with 2 outs in the 5th, things just… Unraveled. Jack gave up 2 runs. And then Daniels came in to stop the fire. Instead he gave up a grand slam.
Oh no. Yeah. That was very bad but this is a small park. There was still time to come back. As long as the bullpen didn’t allow any more runs.
So… It really sucked when Darrell-Hicks made his MLB debut and give up 4 runs in the 6th. You don’t need to see that. It was now 11-2 in the 7th and things were bleak. Time to turn the page, focus on the next 2 games of the series.
But at least the Angels scored again to make it 11-3 on an infield hit by Soler. Yay~
And Houston scored 3 more right after. 14-3 Houston.
Ugh. Angels lose. Turn page. Let’s forget about this game.
Upcoming
2 more games in Houston, no Monday game. And then 3 up the road against Texas.
