This opens the door to choose one: Paris/Kingery/Moore seat on the Opening day pine.
I doubt the Angels want Moore sitting on the bench to open the season and Kingery has stunk at the plate so my money is on Paris to get the last seat on the plane to Chicago.

I dont think that accurate.
I know his base running needs improvement but Kyren only got on base once today so it’s kind of hard even for him to get picked off AND caught stealing in his only appearances on the bases.

It’s Spring Training. People participate to be part of an experience and get out of the winter weather. It’s relatively inexpensive as well. You can’t make much of a conclusion out of these crowds.
Now a mid-week home game in May versus Tampa Bay may be more telling.

Lately? I would think they’ve been similar. Moncada and Davis both got off to horrific starts .But In Davis’ last 7 ST games J D is 6 for 14 with 2 doubles and a HR. Moncada is 4 for 11 with a double and a HR over that same span but the problem is Moncada has only played in 4 of the Angels last 9 spring training games and I wonder how serious the recent thumb injury is.
Glove wise Moncada has looked much better at third according to the “eye test”
Moncada is a switch hitter while Davis is a righty They’ll both make the team (unless Moncada goes on the IL) but Davis will be coming off of the bench. Hes not a bad pinch hitter ( .252/.322/.439 career Pinch hitter) and his career platoon splits do not favor RHPs or LHP’s ( Career: vs RHP OPS .762 vs LHP OPS .768) and hes not bad in pressure situations ( Career .835 OPS late & close games) so he definitely can be a big boost to this team without blocking any of the kids.
