It really isn’t much fun watching a lousy team. 5 run lead on light hitting Guardians and still find a way to lose. Play and hot weather driving fans away, not even Neto bobble head can sell tickets. But Philly fans will take over this weekend anticipating a sweep.

Enough of Ballesteros Batting 3-4-5, no reason to put him there if you are not trying to lose the game. Missing Schanny and Meck in the line-up hurt considerably, hoping for fast return.

Watching teams outside the AL West makes one realize just how bad the AL West truly is. Two of the 5 teams (Angels and A’s) are among the worst teams in baseball and the rest are below .500 except for the Astros at .500. What a crappy division.

Angels straight up lost this game because Mike Trout won’t play 10 feet more shallow in CF. He was playing so deep Kwan had no chance to hit the ball over this head. Mistakes that are made because you are just a stubborn pos that wants to be comfortable out there and always come in on the ball are the worst. Good CF’s play shallow. Trout has to know that. He drops a ball that he has to slide to try to get that any contending team gets to with barely any effort. Watch the Padres. Not a great offense but their defense is amazing. Feels like Merrill gets to a couple balls a game that Trout doesn’t even come close to.

Or maybe he just doesn’t know that his defensive metrics are shit because he’s busy designing golf courses. That could also be it.

it’s hard to blame Trout he grew up on teams that didn’t prioritize winning once they got rid of Torii and they had no leadership. The brought in a druggie to play CF. Brought in druggies on the FA market like Matt Harvey. Let Skaggs make drugs his priority. Had the players that weren’t on drugs run car dealerships, and wineries and not worry about anything other than collect a paycheck. Like seriously, are there any major league players that run businesses while they are still employed to play baseball? To Trout that was commonplace, he’s never been on a team that made winning a priority. He’s never had a fanbase that will do anything but cheer him even though he needs a lawyer to speak and lets guys eat pimples off his back. I hate Rendon but he was his teammate and just walked right past him when he was in a scuffle on opening day.
