Lucas Ramirez looking legit so far in the WBC. That’s a very nice surprise.
thanks for virtually nothing, Skubal. 3 innings of work, now he’s done for the WBC. He should have declined the honor.
I hear he’s reconsidering. In that case I might, too
Between the WBC games and this one, I’ve seen more bad umpiring calls in the last 24 hours than all of the 2025 season.
Good outings for both starters. Would still be a scoreless game save for that ball lost in the sun.
Oh goody, A’s announcers mentioned 10 straight losing seasons. Thought they weren’t gonna get around to it
Wow, that was the weirdest sun/wind error I’ve seen in a bit.
Pretty harsh to make those earned runs for the pitcher(s).
Angels legend Michael Stefanic
JACK STEPHEN!!
RJ looks sharp
Every pitch looks like he’s throwing a dirt clod through a pane of glass. One of the weirdest deliveries ever.
Exciting! The first time this spring my MLB.TV is showing live video and it’s an A’s/Angels game.
The A’s second best pitching prospect (Gage Jump) vs the Angels’ second or third best pitching prospect (Ryan Johnson).
Another fun bit of trivia, Gage Jump and Ryan Johnson were drafted back-to-back in 2024 at #73 and #74. Jump was actually a perfect fit for the Angels for their second round pick – Orange County born and raised – but they went for reliever Chris Cortez instead.
Now Jump is a top 100 prospect and the A’s #3.
