Just look at the whole year as spring training. The games don’t count and the runs don’t matter. Just enjoy watching baseball and being surprised by who has a good year. The one downer, if I had to guess, is that at the deadline, they will trade nothing but expiring contracts and then we’ll start over after the work stoppage. Baseball is all about parking and safety, and neither matter if you’re at home, and you have better food choices, except for the helmet sundaes.

Not being sarcastic but you, an endearing optimist, saying that is crazy to me.

I’ve had a pretty steady level of frustration for 5 or so years but yeah, I’ve noticed for me this offseason its like the lights have been turned off in the house with regards to my fandom. Seeing anything remotely similar from better fans than me is a grim state of affairs for the Angels. If only they cared.

We’ve issued 6 BBs in 4 innings, so we’re right on schedule. I’m looking forward to seeing what Maddox can do over time and finding out once and for all if it’s bad coaching or bad players.

And, we’ve also Kd 8 times in 4 innings so the hitters are also right where they need to be. I think we have a fairly respectable coaching staff so if the team continues to issue BBs and K too often, we just have bad players.
