I met Royals great Willie Wilson a few years ago at Spring Training. Great guy. He was signing autographs in exchange for donations to a charity. The game was slow and we got to talking a bit and I told him I knew the Rojas family. We took a selfie and texted Victor and the next thing I knew I was the conduit for a text chat between two longtime friends.
There have been a lot of great moments as a result of writing for this site. I hadn’t shared that one before, I don’t think.
