This is the series that was supposed to be in Tampa at the beginning of the year and was flip flopped. So, the Angels are now at home for a really long homestand after starting the year on a really long road trip.

You have to factor in the walks when calculating strike out rate. I think.

I think the K rate is 30% when his 58 walks are factored in.

109 K’s divided by 358 plate appearances = 30% .Still too high but, not 36% high.

Aren’t walks already included in plate appearances, or did you mean at bats? Mike has 300 AB but 368 PA (58 BB, 5 HBP, 5 SF) so his SO percentage is 109/368 = 29.6%.
