I’m not sure what it is, but every time that Tyler Anderson is on the bump and I’m scheduled for a post-game. He has a pretty solid start and puts the Halos in position to win the game. He went 6.2 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, and 7 K’s. Very impressive outing, and he put his team on his back and gave them the best opportunity he could to win the game.
It was kind of an interesting game. Both teams came out hot, scoring 2 in the first inning for the Halos and the Blue Jays. After that, things cooled down for a while. To be exact, the 8th inning. The Jays scored 1, making the game 3-2. Then the Halos unleashed in the bottom of the 8th. Scoring 6 runs to take the lead and make it an 8-3 game.
The Angels scored their first 2 via a home run off the bat of Taylor Ward. Here it is.
Neto led off the 8th and got on for Schanuel. Nolan laid down a bunt, Kirk went to third to try and get the lead runner, Neto, but he ended up handcuffing the 3rd baseman, and Neto came around to score. Tie game 3-3.
Now with first and third, and O’Hoppe comes up clutch with a 2-strike hit to take the lead 4-3.
And on the very next pitch, Yoan Moncada sent a ball to the moon. I think the ball still hasn’t landed yet.
This gave the Halos a very comfortable lead, and it was a great inning. Just when I thought they were done, Jo Adell added to the great inning with a solo shot.
Jose Fermin came in for the save in the ninth and shut it down. Angels win 8-3!
