I’m not sure what it is, but every time that Tyler Anderson is on the bump and I’m scheduled for a post-game. He has a pretty solid start and puts the Halos in position to win the game. He went 6.2 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, and 7 K’s. Very impressive outing, and he put his team on his back and gave them the best opportunity he could to win the game.
It was kind of an interesting game. Both teams came out hot, scoring 2 in the first inning for the Halos and the Blue Jays. After that, things cooled down for a while. To be exact, the 8th inning. The Jays scored 1, making the game 3-2. Then the Halos unleashed in the bottom of the 8th. Scoring 6 runs to take the lead and make it an 8-3 game.
The Angels scored their first 2 via a home run off the bat of Taylor Ward. Here it is.
Neto led off the 8th and got on for Schanuel. Nolan laid down a bunt, Kirk went to third to try and get the lead runner, Neto, but he ended up handcuffing the 3rd baseman, and Neto came around to score. Tie game 3-3.
Now with first and third, and O’Hoppe comes up clutch with a 2-strike hit to take the lead 4-3.
And on the very next pitch, Yoan Moncada sent a ball to the moon. I think the ball still hasn’t landed yet.
This gave the Halos a very comfortable lead, and it was a great inning. Just when I thought they were done, Jo Adell added to the great inning with a solo shot.
Jose Fermin came in for the save in the ninth and shut it down. Angels win 8-3!
Not a dumpster fire loss? Ho hum.
Comment count suppression due to winning sucks.
We need moar losses.
🤪
That’s the spirit DD!
Man. Now who am I gonna take life’s frustrations out on? At least I have the whole aaron Rogers/Steelers situation to shit all over as though I know 1/1000 of what all the people involved with have forgotten about NFL football. I can still sleep tonight.
Neto needs to teach the rest of the team to hit. He had some beautiful ABs tonight. I think I’ve seen enough, Perry needs to extend him ASAP. He’s just so damn good.
Also shout-out to O’Hoppe for continuing to make his case for his first all star appearance.
Yeah. The way he attacks the game on defense, at the plate, on the bases…. he’s a really important player. Him and O’hoppe. this winter pay them boys. They are core.
Dana tonight — 7 innings, 5 hits, 4 earned 7 K’s 0 walks, 2 Hr’s, PC 96-64
His Home vs Away splits are crazy.
At Home in 4 Games: 4.82 ERA 1.34 WHIP 2.41 HR’s/9 .973 OPS Against
Away in 3 Games : 1.59 ERA 1.00 WHIP 0.00 HR’s/9 .461 OPS Against
If we can keep that guy away from Afternoon games I think he’s going to love the Marine Layer this year.
He will never sign with the Rockies…..
Nice, very nice.
Well! I gave up after that 8th inning HR. Good for our lads!
Angels sent RHP Sam Bachman on a rehab assignment to Inland Empire 66ers.
Tonight — 1 inning 7 pitches 7 strikes 2 K’s 0 hits/runs… good news, until it isn’t
I thought he’d caught a case of the deaths or something…..
We do not see late inning comeback often, so tonight was a surprise and much as it was fun. 😍
A win!! Can’t complain tonight….
We’ll get back in the loss column tomorrow
Turn the page! 😂

That’s how many good prospects I want back in a Tyler Anderson trade. TA has been sensational.
Neto is a 🌟. Adell hit a HR.
LTBU!
I realize you are focused on trades but if Anderson can pitch like this and might enjoy playing here, isn’t he an extension candidate if he can keep it up? Big if I know. But isn’t he worth at least two years at $15 million per?
Interesting decision to be sure. Because he’s not a “velo guy” age should be less of a factor in comparison to the pitchers that rely on the big fastball and lose it rapidly.
We just plain need more prospects. That’s the problem. Signing the best guys on a crap team for a couple more years just keeps us crappy, we gotta roll the dice we have.
But, in and of itself, no signing Anderson isn’t the worst idea ever at all.
Yah. He was supposed to be awful because, while CtPG Guy obviously doesn’t believe in fan JuJu, he has totally bought into the “on/off” Tyler Anderson year theory.
What a rally!
Taylor Ward is alive, O’Hoppe is the man, Neto is the man, and isn’t it great to have a real third baseman?
Let’s hope we can win tomorrow.
Moncada game MVP with Tyler Anderson.
