Daniel Delivers Doodoo Postgame

9-4 Rangers

Nights like tonight have me convinced that being blacked out from watching Texas games is not all bad.

Davis Daniel, making his 3rd start, built upon his discouraging start in Oakland with one of the stinkiest, smelliest outings of his professional career. From the 6th pitch of the game, it was clear he was going to be touched up, and while he only gave up like 1 or 2 “big” hits, the Angels were down 7-3 before they’d known what hit them.

The Angels offense wasn’t entirely lifeless this time, with the team actually taking the lead in the bottom of the second on a 2-run Mickey Moniak triple and a Jo Adell single right after.

Oh yeah, and Anthony Rendon was back and did something.

When is Tyler Anderson’s next start? Inject that directly into my veins, please– assuming he’s still an Angel at that point, of course.

Why have Anderson pitch again and risk injury or regression? I would trade him before the next start presuming there is significant interest.

I now believe we’re not making the playoffs. In fact, if 12 teams in each league made the playoffs I think we’d miss the post-season
