Angels vs. Guardians Game 3 Gamethread

Country weekend wraps up today. I do miss listening to ballgames on the radio while driving a tractor. Definitely would like my son to experience a few summers on the farm. You don’t need a gym or a tanning bed out in the country.

Swept at home.

They need to ask Manfred to have all their games at the road from this point forward, then maybe they have a fighting chance. For some reason the home cooking just isn’t working.

Not exactly a bold statement, but Detmers has been a real drag. He looked really good at the start of the season, but lately? Just can’t stay away from fatal mistakes.

He hasn’t exactly recovered from this horrible stretch yet. You want to be patient, but at the same time, how long is this going to go?

Sandy, Jose, and Canning have in different ways bounced back from horrible starts to some strong starts (Sandy unfortunately have fallen off the wagon for one game). Reid is just plain stuck in this rut.

Kind of stuck with this rotation, right? Lack of trade assets plus why even bother. This fate of this year is resting on 2-year players with little minor league experience.

Mickey, Neto, Logan-O in the bottom of the 9th. Salvage one here. Get one before TEE comes in.

Just be cool, Adell, and take the walk, forcing the tying run to 3rd.

Ahh…youth. (Or is it “yoot”?)

Adell is 1 for his last 21, and just swung at a pitch a foot off the plate.

Whiff. 0-4. Adell definitely fits the profile of Angel, the next generation

Wow. Jo swinging at a pitch 9 inches outside for the 3rd out. 3 Ks for Adell. And the non-hits just keep on comin’.

Is there a competent hitting coach?…nevermind. Don’t answer that.

You want to give him a break for the HR robbery earlier, but he got too eager being the hero in that situation.

Ay, Jo, that was a bad swing. Could have been bases loaded

This is what happens when every batter isn’t trying to hit a home run.

There’s something majestic about coming to bat after the relievers have put us 3 runs down and then getting retired 1-2-3 on 7 pitches
