Well, there was no post-game write-up, so I thought I’d produce this quick fanpost with a photo for us to dwell upon and to provide a space for the pent-up frustration so many of us are feeling towards the team and the organization.

That was one hell of a season, do I remember? Oh yeah I do.
I remember.
That was on my wedding anniversary, Aug 18th, 2009. A good way into the season, all 9 hitters had at least 200 AB.
That’s a great photo, those guys did not strike out much and were in constant movement on the bases. Fun times.
Lucky for those guys. They got to face a ton of lesser pitchers
I remember that day. Mickey Hatcher – the batting coach – took the picture. Angels were on national TV that day.
Yesterday, Iglesias, Upton, Rendon, and Walsh were 0-15. You can’t win with that kind of offense no matter who is on the mound. We need pitching for sure. But we also need a more consistent effort from our batting “leaders.”
The Angels made the playoffs six times when Mickey Hatcher was the pitching coach and only once in the eight seasons since he was fired.
Yes and he never forced his hitters to only throw sliders.
Better chance of fielding a sub .200 team nowadays.
Why nobody taking a photo of that scoreboard? 😥
Here you go, Patrick O’Neal:
Tim Salmon batting leadoff … 1 game in 2002, 1 game in 2004 and 1 game in 2006.
2 for 6 with 1HR 1RBI
