Justin Upton is still out.
Angels Lineup: Fletcher 4, Ohtani 10, Trout 8, Walsh 9, Pujols 3, Iglesias 6, Rojas 5, Bemboom 2, Jay 7. Canning 1.
Royals Lineup: Merrifield 4, Benintendi 7, Perez 10, Santana 3, Soler 9, Taylor 8, Dozier 5, Gallagher 2, Lopez 6. Keller 1.
Bleh.
Rojas!
Finally!
First b2b losses right?
1st series loss right?
Yep.
Suzuki catches that ball last night or Trout doesn’t strike out for. 4th time and they probably win last night making today meaningless.
Congrats, Rojas!
From lifelong dream to nightmare…poor kid.
That was the opposite of the “talk about a no hitter effect”!
See and you all thought we were going to regret those missed opportunities and lose 3-2 🙂
Well that’s not a fun score to come out of a meeting to. We suck again!
It’s almost like losing 3 of your best hitters hurts. Who knew?
We know. 7-5 never felt so bad
This team is going from one of the pleasant surprises of ’21 to a joke virtually overnight.
TrAdition
All sorts of bad luck in the last couple games.
Baseball was more fun when the Angels could score runs.
Not coincidentally, baseball was also more fun when half the lineup wasn’t hurt.
Upton wasn’t doing so well but definitely missing Stassi and Rendon.
See : Strength & Conditioning.
So ugly. This road trip and injuries. They need to get home.
You know, with our fairly lengthy list of injuries over the last few years, it makes me wonder about how poor our Strength & Conditioning Coach must be.
If it was just a few injuries you could say it is bad luck. But this is a pattern.
I don’t know TJ Harrington personally, but a lot of this has to fall at his feet, I think.
Torn ACL after not sliding.
Back stiffness
Sprained thumb trying to catch a foul tip
Pulled calf muscle
Yes I clearly see the contagion
Maybe the calf and back sprain, but hard to ‘strength and condition’ out of a foul tip to the thumb.
See my comment immediately below .
Both the Upton issue and Rendon’s groin are likely things that could be avoided through adequate stretching and improved flexibility.
Don’t know if Harrington incorporates Hatha Yoga but I would tend to doubt it.
Only if we had the Doyer schedule the first 2 weeks.
We are playing against good teams and playing well overall. Stay healthy, get healthy, should be a fun summer.
Very true. The Rockies are crap and the Dodgers get them 7 TIMES in the first two weeks !!!
Yea, but the Royals are not a good team.
That is true Jessica. But the last two games we were a shell of ourselves due to injuries.
We are good until someone gets injured. Well, back to reality.
Ballgame.
Aight guys I gotta get back to work
Blech.
Well, with the total lack of anything from the bottom half of the order it looks like we have one more final shot folks (8th inning).
0-17 and still counting.
We may need to swap Rojas with Rengifo soon
Cmon Rojas all YOU kid. Nows a good time as any to get your first knock
