Jake Faria talks with CtPG

Jake Faria is on the cusp of fulfilling his childhood dream by playing for the Angels. He took some time to talk about his career, his favorite baseball movies, and being an Angels fan.

You can follow him on Twitter @JDFaria34 to keep up with his career and life off the field.

I found Jake to be very insightful and friendly. I really enjoyed our chat and hope you do too.

Good interview Jeff.

Let’s all hope that Jake has a kick ass season.

I think the high walk rate this spring ultimately lead to his demotion this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to stretch him back out into a starter at the alternate site. Although he could be part of the taxi squad mix on road trips which would be more of a long reliever role.

My wife was one of Jake’s teachers in Elementary School. We have been rooting for him since his AA days. So glad he’s with the Angels now!

Really good interview Jeff. I enjoyed the questions about going from starter vs reliever, differences between rays/angels and asking what baseball movies Jake liked. When I’ve had a chance to talk to a big leaguer I ask about what they read or binge watch. Heaney and Skaggs had some funny answers. I’m curious if Jake has ever been to Faria beach in Ventura County. Great little private surf spot if you can get in.
