Strong performance in Game 2 of the doubleheader. Every single batter reached base at least twice. Most runs scored in a game despite it only being a 7-inning affair.

Don’t lose sight of a #1 or #2 draft choice as having a losing record does not help the longer range outcomes.

Didn’t we trade him for Vinny P?

I think that was Clevinger. I thought we released Garneau. Edit: Garneau was DFA claimed off waivers by Oakland.

Nick Tropeano pitched very well for the Pirates tonight against the White Sox.

Clearly, the ump just wanted Ohtani to swing so he could increase his stats.

Embarrass them. It’s almost as good as hitting one but nobody gets suspended.

Just listening, not watching. I got the impression that Maddon was engaged in a little theater for the benefit of a couple of his guys who have been struggling at the plate. It did sound like Ohtani was unhappy, but was too polite to argue balls and strikes.
