LA Angels Wednesday News Crash: Indoor Rainout

There is wet stuff falling from the sky. No Baseball, it makes me cry. Have some links and wait it out at home.

Bad News

Welp, Billy thinks Stassi will make the pitching better. (OCR) We’re doomed.

That Arizona plan that was talked about yesterday? Yeah, it is getting backlash. Stuff dies in Arizona.

Good News

First Baseball this spring will be Taiwan, games start April 11th! With Robo Fans!

KBO is on schedule, here they are doing warmups. What team to root for? Someone on Reddit made a list to help you out.

MLB stadiums are empty, so one Nats player is using Nats Park as a kitchen to serve food for people in need.

Canning and Ohtani are throwing long toss now.

Watching Guy’s Grocery Games. He’s got three ex-players on. One of them is the Fuentesaurus.

There are some people you just expect to meet a bad end. Not necessarily drip dead but do something that lands them in jail for a long time….like cokehead or that guy in Florida who shot a kid and has since gotten in various scrapes.

How can someone do that to their own kid?

Let the bastard rot.

BTW, no one asked me but this new idea from Manfred to start the season with social distancing by the players and using Robo Umps, is just plain tomfoolery by an Puppet of the greedy owners. Just flat out dumb, but that is what to expect from a less than bright leader. MLB really needs to find and appoint a great leader from the outside who surrounds himself with smart people who are fans of the sport, not trying to reinvent the game. Just IMHO. Manfred seems to believe that the sport needs to become something other than what it really is, a perfect sport that is 151 years old and really has one problem, it cost to much to attend games.

there are times when I think Manfred’s idea is to modify baseball so that you get points if the ball lands in a certain place, then to change the ball into something much larger that doesn’t go that far and could be played indoors and then maybe do away with bats and have the players run with this larger ball toward one end of the new “ballpark” and possibly place the ball in a cage or maybe something smaller like a basket in order to score a “homerun”. Perhaps placing this cage or basket about 10 feet above the “warning track”.

I disliked the guy as President, but I’d love to have W as Commish.

Jedi will soon lose his position with the M’s no doubt. But the Guy who is last on the list as an Angels GM is either Buzzie the former Doyer or former O’s GM Dalton. The real truth is our team has not ever had a great GM, at best with Stoneman we had a very good one. Haney drafted well as an expansion team start up, and Peter Bavasi was decent. But as with all trades it comes down to evaluation and scouting and coaching which is a tough Triple Crown. I thought that McPherson and Wood would be very good if not great, oop’s, I never believed Tanana would do what he did, point being no one can be perfect. As a kid l thought that Rick Reichardt would be a super star, again oop’s. (Did l spell his name correct?) Over all the Angels have done well with Free Agents though, at least until recent history. Being a fan of the Red Sox for those in New England was brutal for along time, ditto for the Cubs fans, Expos/Nationals fans. But sticking to a team for a lifetime is in our psyche l guess so l still think in the next few years we get to the World Series again. l just as strongly believe it will be with a new GM as confidence in Billy Eppler is waning by more than just myself. Stassi is not exactly a confidence builder.

Do you mean Bill Bavasi, or Peter? Never heard of the latter.

I’m cool with rooting for the SK Wyverns, and not just because of the jerseys and colors. Wyverns are like magical flying lizards and Angels are like magical flying people.

Good morning all!! Since we’ve all been watching and evaluating past games, let’s analyze some past trades shall we?

I apologize in advance for any emotions this may evoke.

Just what we need….more pain!!
Hey guys, we are in the middle of a pandemic, stuck at home, no baseball, anxiously uncertain about the future of the world- and oh, hey, let me just twist the knife a little bit more. That’s mean!

Might be nice to read a fun, upbeat commentary under the circumstances. Just a thought. 😆

Honestly, I don’t think the Angels would have done as well developing Clevinger as the Indians did.
